人以德为先，没有德的人，即使他各方面都很出色，也不会受到人的尊重；责任感就是人的德。
没有了责任感的品牌最终是会受消费者的无情抛弃。
所以，你先找找他的责任感在那里麦当劳虽居世界快餐业老大，但它对人形体和健康的影响却是明显的，不时出现的诸如“致癌薯条”之类的风波，更加重了消费者对其社会责任感的信心消解。
有人认为，麦当劳这个风行西方国家多年的快餐品牌已经在英国走到了尽头。
今年3月1日，麦当劳公司决定关闭其在英国境内的25家餐厅，另外再卖掉50家快餐店。

一位业内人士对记者表示，麦当劳产品的成本控制同样一直居高不下。
如在产品的采购供应上，麦当劳倾向由其美国国内企业为中国提供货源，而肯德基则更钟情于在中国本土发展供货商。
加上肯德基与必胜客等同一集团旗下品牌的供应链协同共享效应，肯德基在中国的产品成本的控制上也是略胜麦当劳一筹。
然而，此前新任麦当劳中国首席执行官施乐生表示，麦当劳将会在中国地区加快发展，提高投资回报率。
而为了增强麦当劳产品的竞争力，麦当劳将持续其低价策略，吸引消费者，以加大在中国的市场占有度。
韩军表示，在麦当劳没有更好的办法推出更符合中国人口味的产品之前，低价的确可以吸引一部分忠诚度不高的消费者。
而去年进入中国的汉堡王品牌同样也面临着巨大的生存压力。
中国市场对肯德基的利润贡献超过四分之一。
而麦当劳全球CEO Jim Skinner在2005年5月评价中国市场的业绩时用了“weakness”(虚弱)一词。
此前由商务部等评选的“2004年度中国餐饮新百强企业名单”，连续几年排名第二的麦当劳因为不愿意提供销售额而未能列上榜单，更被业内人士看做麦当劳中国销售业绩不理想的证据。
麦当劳对这一“虚弱”的市场表现最直接的解决办法就是频繁“换将”。
2005年6月1日，麦当劳大中华区总裁陈必得辞职；10月份，在麦当劳已有十几年工作经历的麦当劳(中国)食品有限公司高级副总裁、中国北区董事总经理赖林胜也突然“下课”；与此同时，一年前刚刚就任麦当劳北京总经理的施文哲也正式离职。
