可以说，《热爱生命》描述的是一个淘金者的故事。

生活中越来越多的欲望只会让人更加头脑发热，更加迷茫。
对一些得失、荣辱，我们之所以有的时候无法看得开，恰恰在于我们把它们放到了放大镜下面，于是它们成了我们眼中的一切。
我们总会因为“为什么别人有而我没有”焦虑过，因为“为什么该我有而我没有”气愤过，也许这些想法本身并没有对错，但在这一切都无法实现或在短时间内无法实现的时候，我们又何妨把它们统统放入生命的本意这个前提下，把它们和活着的幸福比较，把它们和人生的漫漫旅途比较
可能这会让我们更心安理得一些吧。
当然，我更钦佩的是主人公即使在这样无助的关头依然能维持一个人的尊严——他没有为了活下去而去啃食同伴的尸骨。
在他的生命受到如此严重威胁的时候，当饥饿在不断榨干他的生命的时候，他能有这样的举动实在令人感佩，我想假如他在这时去吮了同伴的骨头，那么这个故事便不会如此深刻地打动人心，甚至有些让人厌恶。
正是因为在这样生死存亡的关头，主人公所表现出的人性而不是兽性，让我感动于生命的伟大。
（二） 不过，当我面对小说中那个抛弃了同伴的比尔时，我又无法认定他就是一个坏人，认定人性在他身上展现的就是恶的一面。
因为小说毕竟是虚构的，我不知道真实的生活会是怎样，如果我是比尔，在那样的环境中我会怎么做
是不是一样会弃他人于不顾，因为我也想活下去，而受伤的同伴在那时是否就成为了我的累赘
一样是为了求生，一样是对生命的渴望，我真的能大义凛然地谴责比尔的行为吗
什么是善，什么又是恶
我又想到，如果是在中国的小说、电视剧里，可能我们更多地会看到这样的情节：两个同伴在面对生死威胁时，那个受伤的总会含着眼泪说：“你走吧，别管我了。
”而另一个一定会怒不可遏地大吼道：“我绝不会丢下你，背也要把你背出去”或者“要死也要死在一块儿”之类的豪言壮语，最后的结局又大多是好人有好报，两个人一起化险为夷。
但是，这真实吗
是普遍存在于人性中的东西吗
还是比尔的做法才代表了绝大多数人的选择呢
在中国从小的教育中，好像好人总是不怕死的，在面对民族大义和各种原则的时候，他不习惯妥协，喜欢把自己的生命置之度外。
而坏人大都离不开贪生怕死的套路。
好像比尔求生这件事情本身，就足以支持我们对他做出道德上的审判了。
可是，人活在这个世界上的动机有很多，有的人是为了一日三餐，有的人是为了拯救全人类，我觉得既然法律面前人人平等，那么这个法律上的平等，就并没有考虑道德上的因素。
不能因为一个人怕死，就判他有罪，不能因为一个人的行为不能给你以感动，就否定他求生的权利。
最起码，善与恶的界限不能这样简单地划分。
而生命究竟有多大的潜质，究竟能在多大的程度上展示出它美好灿烂而不是丑陋邪恶的一面，我觉得是我们的教育和德育应该认真思考的。
