《秘密花园》这本书是一本关于大自然的魔力和人类美好心灵的故事。
《秘密花园》主要讲的是一场突如其来的霍乱使玛丽变成了孤儿。
她被接到了舅舅阿奇先生家。
在这个陌生的环境里，前来迎接她的劳克太太，不苟言笑，严肃冷漠，让孤苦伶仃的她更感到孤独落寞；而阿奇先生最初的远离漠视，也让她丝毫感受不到亲情的温暖。
但是倔强的玛丽并没有哭泣，而是微笑着面对她人生中的最大变故。
在玛莎的热情援引下，玛丽认识了喜欢和动物交朋友的迪肯，在他的指导和带领下开始了对秘密花园的耕种，迪肯的细心体贴让面色苍白的玛丽脸上泛起了健康的红润，也使她由霸道孤癖变得随和亲切；园子里知更鸟的鸣叫更让她听得出了神，使她忘记了忧愁，忘记了痛苦。

《秘密花园》读后感常州市觅渡桥小学 四(1)班 吴琦在这个缤纷多彩,骄阳似火的暑假里,我读了许许多多有趣的书,在这其中最令我深受启发的的便是《秘密花园》这本书了.这本书的作者是弗朗西斯·霍奇森·伯纳特(1849-1924),她同时又是《小公主》的作者.这本书讲了小主人公玛丽因为从小没得到父母的关爱,再加上仆人对她的百依百顺,造就了她脾气暴躁,而由于不活动而很少吃饭,面黄肌瘦.后来,她的父母因为霍乱而死去,因此,她来到了密赛尔斯威特庄园.在女仆玛莎的教导下,小玛丽不再那么讨人嫌了.后来她来到果园认识了本和他那可爱的红腹知更鸟,小知更鸟带领玛丽找到了因为庄园主人科伦温先生失去了妻子而封闭了的秘密花园的钥匙,从此小玛丽每天都会来到秘密花园来收拾,料理花园.她把秘密告诉了玛莎的弟弟迪肯,请他协助自己.在两人的照料下,两人使得花儿茁壮成长,也使一个害怕死亡,心灵阴暗的少年—科林少爷变得生龙活虎.这本书告诉了我们不要动不动就乱发脾气,这样会令人讨厌.要多做运动,多呼吸新鲜空气,在花丛柳林中体会大自然的魅力,这样会使我们身心健康,生机勃勃,找到自己心中的秘密花园.说实话， 《秘密花园》是一本好书，难怪 J.K.罗琳说：读《秘密花园》时感觉不错。
