还体现了一句意味深长的名言——“凡是勤奋的人，都有其而不舍的精神。
”福尔摩斯这个人脑子有点怪，研究学问的劲头十足。
他又是一个一流的药剂师。
他研究的学问既杂乱又古怪，头脑里装了不少稀奇古怪的的知识。
当我刚翻开目录时，每篇的题目都让我毛骨悚然，比如说：血字研究、带斑点的带子、水力工程师断指案，听起来让我不禁打了几个哆嗦。
但福尔摩斯通过不断学习、不断钻研和不断的实践才使自己有了惊人的侦探能力。
所以他进行的各种侦探既合乎逻辑，又合情理；他对各种案件的解释和判断才会头头是道，才会使一个悬而又悬的问题迎刃而解，才使一宗宗谜案拨云见日。

自从我看完这本书后，受益匪浅。
作者柯南道尔在写文章的时候，有大量的心理活动，神态变化、对话、动作、细节描写，使读者看得津津有味，不会感到枯燥无味。
在心理活动方面，作者把自己的一切想法全部写出来了，不做一点保留，让我情不自禁地跟着作者一块儿推测、判断。
比如说在《带斑点的带子》中的一段语句：“你不必害怕”，他探身向前，轻轻地拍拍她的手臂，安慰她说：“我毫不怀疑，有什么事我们很快会处理好的。
我知道，你是今天早上坐火车来的”。
“如此说来，你认识我

福尔摩斯本来是一个在研究室里热衷于化学实验的研究员。
在一次偶然的机会里，侦破了桩离奇的案件，从此号称名侦探。
他有着智慧超人的脑子，能观察细微事件的眼睛和超乎常人的体能和武功。
但是骄傲就会使人落后。
福尔摩斯骄傲时也会出错，在窗口的黄色脸孔那一案时，他下定论下早了，所以失败了。
我觉得，无论是谁，也不能骄傲，骄傲使人落后。
骄傲会使人粗心大意，让许多你平时能觉察到的事情在你眼中消失；许多在平常看起来得心应手的事情，却经常出错。
很多事情只要很细心就会干成，哪怕你从没有做过。
所以千万不能粗心，也不能骄傲。
