我是一名上海的读者，三十多岁，爱好英语，业余也曾翻译过小说。
近日，在上海图书馆看到贵社出版的《海伦凯勒自传-珍藏版》。
想起，十几岁上中学时，为了增加阅读量，我曾看过一本《假如给我三天光明》英语小册子（也许是英语简略本），印象并不深。
这次阅读起海伦的自传，书信、演讲，以及她老师的书信，出乎意料地令我感慨万千，达到不得不说几句的程度。
“耶稣说，人要是进天国，必须像小孩子一样。
”看着如今的孩子，我真不好理解这句话。
细读海伦凯勒的话语、书信和她老师对她言行的记录，我眼前突然出现了一位天使，她被囚禁在聋哑盲的牢笼，本来是个凶猛蛮横的小野兽。
但某天，冰凉的流水淌过手臂，老师同时比划出“water”这个字在手掌，这让海伦看到了心智上的一点微光。
“当场，海伦呆在那里半晌不说话，然后突然趴在地上，问老师‘大地’怎么说，‘树木’怎么说。
”她此后，开始没日没夜的求学知识，追求真理，以致大家都怕她学伤了幼小的身体。
在她成长过程中，老师苏利文小姐，是她当之无愧的拯救者，而苏利文背后的慈善机构、善良的人们，更是努力精心浇灌这株罕见的灵苗。
我从她本人的故事、书信、以及老师的书信，一本书中，先后三轮，看到了海伦如何越过重重艰难，挣脱牢笼，最终像天使一样，自由自在翱翔于人间的故事。
说她是天使，因为她的极其善良和纯真。
她丝毫没有小大人般的语言。
很多最美妙的词语，如同“山的帽子”（云），“行走的藤”（活藤），都是她幼年的首创。
她通过鼻子闻花香草味，通过屏息听音乐流淌，通过脸贴玻璃墙体会尼亚加拉大瀑布的澎湃，更通过手掌感受天下万物（1893年美国世博会主席批准她可以触摸一切展品，她甚至在刚果厅的废砂石中找到了一粒货真价实的金刚钻）....她甚至凭嗅觉和平衡感，少年时代就独自泛舟于湖面。
尤其令我感动，是她为可怜的盲聋孩童小汤姆，四处筹款的书信。
小汤姆开始并不认真学习，海伦焦急万分，她写信给很多赞助人替汤米解释，其用词妥帖，礼貌备至，仿佛是某欧洲国家的小公主在说话。
海伦的身体条件是最令人同情的。
但细想想，她确实又受到上帝的眷顾。
她遇到了好家长和好老师。
特别是她的老师，在自己奇迹般获得光明后，谦虚而自信地教授海伦，从身边的点点滴滴教起，读后感《来自天使的声音---海伦凯勒自传读后感》。
数十年来，她们形影不离。
老师的品质和修养，确保海伦手心感受到的每个字母，都是正直和高尚的，都是美丽和善良的。

该牧师立即将这句话记在圣经讲稿上。
还有位女士感言，“我愿意抛开家中一切财产，好让这个全身上下洋溢着喜悦的女孩子一直陪在我身旁”。
前不久的电视“中国首届达人秀”上，我们为“小大人”张逢喜老三老四的言行发笑。
但那个孩子的语言，一笑过后，往往索然无味；我们也震撼于无臂青年刘伟，他用脚弹奏生命的钢琴。
但刘伟的名句“不是痛苦死去，就要精彩活着”，背后，还是有着无法掩饰的悲怆阴影。
令人惊讶的是，100多年前，海伦凯勒，身受更大的残疾和痛苦，却过比谁过得都开心，都丰富，都有成就。
难怪丘吉尔称她为“我们时代最伟大的女性
”也感谢贵刊，精选此书，推荐给中国的广大英语读者。
这本书，英语极其正宗、简洁、精妙，可令读者领略美国人从“呀呀学语”开始，直到“气势如虹”演讲一路学成的点滴过程。
单从学英语来说，就是一本极好的教材。
海伦十岁起就学会了法语和德语，精通到阅读名著毫无障碍的地步。
作为正常人的我们，外语学习，从小学-中学-大学一路过来，还是时常捉襟见肘，不能从容自如，真是应该深深反省检讨。
让我们记住沙利文老师的那些方法，特别是她和学生共同的体会：“首先要感兴趣，要多用身边熟悉的事情去记忆单词和句法，学语言是为了表达内心的感受，要用强烈的感受去加深对单词的印象和理解。
”最后，我希望此书得到好好的宣传推广，让每个人心中的天使，都能冲破世俗和妄念的牢笼，愉快飞翔在充满阳光和鲜花的天空。
