上海概况 上海位于北纬31度14分，东经120度29分。
东濒杭州湾，西部与江苏省接壤，南邻浙江省，北界长江入海口。
上海地区河湖众多，主要有黄浦江及其支流苏州河、川杨河、淀浦河等。
全市面积为6340.5平方千米。
常住人口约2300万.。
现有17个区1个县，上海市标是白玉兰，沙船，螺旋桨三者组成三角形图案，市花为白玉兰，象征上海是座奋发向上，不断前进的国际大都市。
早在战国后期，今上海西部地区是楚国春申君黄歇封地，所以上海别称申，东晋永和年间，住在苏州河口的先民，用竹子编成的竹栅插在河滩上，拦阻随潮涨退的鱼儿，这个捕鱼工具称沪，那时上海就简称沪，吴淞江下游有条支流叫上海浦，与黄浦江相连，南宋建上海镇，上海之名由此而来，元二＋八年（1291）年建城。
1843年开埠西方列强相继开辟租界，上海成了西风东渐的窗口，全国各地的人才物产也纷涌而至，上海成了全国的经济文化中心。
1921年7月23日中国共产党成立，上海人民在党的领导下，揭开了反对外来侵略和国内反动派的斗争。
直至1949年5月27日迎来了上海的解放。
改革开放后，上海发生了翻天覆地的变化，取得了举世瞩目的成就。
1990年4月18日上海浦东开发开放，经过20多年的艰苦创业，上海浦东建成为外向型，多功能，现代化的新城区，成为上海现代化建设的一个缩影，更是中国改革开放的重要标志， 上海是太平洋西岸一颗璀璨的明珠，是一座生机勃勃，充满魅力的国际化大都市，上海又是一座移民城市，各种文化在此碰撞融合形成了海纳百川，不拘陈规，敢于创新，兼收并蓄的海派风格，在上海都市景观气象万千，现代风貌引人入胜，2010年举办了成功，精彩，难忘得世博会，2015年上海要建成著名的国际旅游大都市，最精彩的游览区是，陆家嘴，外滩，人民广场，豫园，龙华，世博园等。

It contains offices and the Shanghai Grand Hyatt hotel. As of 2005, it is the tallest building in the PRC, the fifth tallest in the world by roof height and the seventh tallest by pinnacle height. Along with the Oriental Pearl Tower, it is a centerpiece of the renowned Pudong skyline.

Here can be seen reproductions of landscape scenes.Jade Buddha Temple, Shanghai(Local Name: Yofu Si) The temple, situated in the northwest of the city in Anyuan Lu, houses two Shakyamuni statues which the monk Huigen brought with him from Burma. In order to find a fitting place to accommodate the statues, he collected funds for building a temple at Jiangwan in the northeast of Shanghai. The work was completed in 1882 but the building was destroyed in 1911 during the revolution. Seven years later an undertaking was made to rebuild the temple on a site nearer the old city, and this is how the present Jade Buddha Temple came into being. The building work took ten years to complete, from 1918-28. The temple is divided into three halls and two courtyards.Yuyuan Garden, ShanghaiThe Yuyuan Garden situated to the north east of the old town, covers an area of over 20,000sq.m\\\/21,880sq.yd and consists of an outer and an inner garden. The garden was laid out in 1559 by a high state official in the style of Suzhou.Outside the garden can be found the very popular Huxin Ting Tea-House the center of the Lake, reached from the bank by a zig-zag bridge.

不知道你是几点下的火车，但玩起码一整天时间，因为太大，又分浦东浦西两块，5个片区，门票又要160元，如果仅半天，既看不过来，又不划算。
其他推荐几条线路：城市风光1:从南京路西藏路口起，逛，一直逛到头，即外滩；然后沿外滩逛，到外滩新开河路附近，转而前往城隍庙，那里是小商品海洋，各地小吃天堂，晚间再回到外滩，看外滩璀璨夜景。

城市风光2：直接到外滩，先浏览外滩风光，然后乘观光隧道到浦东陆家嘴，、、三选一登高观景；三处各有利弊，老景点，但可免费参观；较新，观光层很有特色；处于两者之间；门票大约都在100左右；另外还有海洋馆、昆虫馆可参观游览，空余时间可漫步，看两岸风光；在中央绿地看鳞次栉比现代化高楼，附近巨大“正大广场”，吃穿用玩一应俱全。
