南禅寺位于五台县阳白乡李家村附近小银河一侧的河岸土崖上，庙宇坐北朝南，迎面和背面各有一道山梁，寺旁渠水环绕，林木繁茂，红墙绿树，溪水青山，极为幽静。
南禅寺就是在如此美丽的环境中已经存在了1200多年。
寺院并不大，占地约3000多平方米，南北长印米，东西宽51米，分两个院落，共有殿堂六座，即大佛殿、东西配殿及南过门殿等。
大佛殿为寺院主体建筑，面宽和进深都是三间，而内里却是一大间，是单檐歇山顶建筑，共用十二根据柱支撑殿顶，墙身并不负重，只起间隔内外和防御风雨侵袭的作用。
四周檐柱柱头微微内倾，四个角柱稍高，使得层层伸出的斗拱翘起。
这样，大殿既稳固又俏丽，是典型的唐代建筑风格。
据大殿横梁上题记可知，此殿重建于唐德宗建中三年(公元782年)，距今已有1217年，是中国现存所有木构古建筑的老大哥。
这也是南禅寺海内外闻名的主要原因。
殿内的塑像都是唐代作品，以释迦牟尼佛为中心，两旁是文殊、普贤二位菩萨，其余为大弟-子阿难和迎叶及护-法天王等群像，主次分明，错落有致，营造出佛界肃穆而和-谐的良好氛围，不论是结跏趺坐于正中的佛主，或者是骑狮的文殊菩萨和乘象的普贤菩萨，抑或是凝神肃立的阿难和迎叶，还是威猛雄壮的护-法天王，个个神态自若，表情逼真，若动若静，栩栩如生，都是艺术精品，其风格与敦煌莫高窟彩塑如出一辙。
佛坛四周嵌有砖雕70幅，是唐代砖面浮雕艺术杰作，同样颇具艺术价值。
置身大佛殿内，犹如进入一座唐代艺术殿堂，不论建筑，还是塑像、砖雕均是稀世国宝。
走出大佛殿，大家可能产生这样的疑问，这样一座唐代建筑为何能够完好地保存下来答案应从三方面去找。
从地势和气候上说，这里高而背风，较为干燥，有利于木构建筑物的完好保存;从所处地理位置上讲，南禅寺远离寺庙最集中的台怀闹区，藏于偏僻山乡之中，不太引人注意，所以能够躲过唐代以后历次大规模灭法和刀兵之劫;最后还要归功于当地人民群众的精心保护，免去了可能发生的其他人为破坏。
正是这几方面的原因，从而使南禅寺这座千年古刹得到完善的保存。
解放后，国家对古刹极为珍视，列为全国重点保护文物单位，拨专款进行维修，进而使南禅寺得到了更好的保护。

各位朋友，我们的车现在已经进入了滨海路的中段。
中段的起点是傅家庄，止点就是大连市区南部海滨的最大景区——老虎滩洋公园。
提起海洋公园，大家自然会想到香港的海洋公园，其实，大连的海洋公园无论规模还是游乐设施水平都超过了香港的海洋公园，是目前亚洲最大的海洋公园。
它占地118万平方米，海岸线长4000多米，是一座大型现代化综合娱乐场所，集游览、观赏、娱乐、科普和购物于一体的现代化海洋主题公园。
园内有两个世界之最，一个是极地海洋动物馆，另一个是珊瑚馆。
此外，园内还有全国最大的花岗岩群虎雕像、中国大陆最早的半自然状态人工鸟语林、世界级的旅游精品海兽馆等等。
园内可供的游乐项目很多，有矿山车、激流勇进、漂流探险、海盗船等，到时候大家可以尽情地游乐

关于老虎滩名字的由来，说法很多。
有人说从前这里很荒凉，山上有老虎，也有人说靠海的山洞叫老虎洞，每到夜半涨潮时，海浪袭来，会发出虎啸一样的回声。
另有一民间传说，流传很广，说这山上经常有一只猛虎下山伤人，有一天，龙王的女儿在山坡上采花，被恶虎叼跑，有一个叫石槽的青年听到救命声，挥剑追赶，迫使恶虎丢下龙女逃跑。
为了报答石槽救命之恩，龙女便与他结为夫妇。
石槽认为恶虎不除，百姓就一天不得安宁。
于是婚后第二天便要上山除虎。
但龙女告诉他，这恶虎是天上黑虎星下凡，只有用龙宫里的宝剑，才能制服它。
于是龙女回宫借宝剑。
不想，在龙女离开当天恶虎又下山伤人，石槽等不及宝剑，便与恶虎搏斗，挥剑砍掉飞虎牙，落到海里，成了虎牙礁；又一把拽住老虎尾巴，甩到旅顺港湾，成了老虎尾；最后砍去半个虎头成了半拉山；虎身瘫在海边，成了虎滩。
老虎被杀了，石槽也累得口吐鲜血，一头栽在大海里，变成了一块礁石。
龙女借剑回来，看见丈夫已死，痛不欲生，守候在丈夫身边日夜哭泣，化成美人礁。
