康德那句话是刻在他的墓碑上的墓志铭。
康德墓志铭的德文原文为：“Zwei Dinge erfuellen das Gemuet mit immer neuer und zunehmender Bewunderung und Ehrfurcht, je oefter und anhaltender sich das Nachdenken damit beschaeftigt: der bestirnte Himmel ueber mir und das moralische Gesetz in mir.”这是他所著的《实践理性批判·结论》上开头的第一句。
在1880年移葬时，主事者就在墓碑上刻上这段文字，从此就成为举世闻名的“康德墓志铭”。
