出人意料的好结局——“人还是要给自己一个机会，给别人机会，因为世界上遗憾的事情太多了。
”身患残疾的钢琴教师李静（桂纶镁 饰）在一次例行体检后将香港名医周文暄（张震 饰）以性侵犯告上法庭，引起全港哗然。
代表李静的检控官陈志天（郭富城 饰）立誓要为她讨回公道，但被告周文暄的辩护律师（夏雨 饰）却认为本案并非想象般简单……一场关于情与法之间的决斗拉开帷幕。
本片是由徐克、张之亮联合监制，杨采妮执导的第一部电影。
整个案件经历了三次开庭，每一次都把悬疑氛围放大一倍，就在大家思维停留在判断“说自己被侵犯的李静和说自己被冤枉的周文瑄究竟谁在说谎时”，电影的结局却让所有人吓一跳。
也让不少观众议论纷纷。
张震话少是故意的 一向酷酷的张震，这次在《圣诞玫瑰》里，更是惜字如金，连陷入“性侵”丑闻，也一副懒得解释的样子。
“难道张震现在是按字数收片酬了
”观众开玩笑道。
张震昨日解释称，这部戏中之所以台词少，也是有导演故意铺陈的地方在里面，目的就是让观众猜不透。
相比张震的玩深沉，夏雨饰演的律师和郭富城饰演的检控官在剧中可是针锋相对，经常要说大量的台词，挑战非常大。
夏雨直言，他和郭富城动不动就要说上五六分钟的台词，再加上很多专业术语，拍戏的地方又闷，很容易缺氧，“我们经常就是会比赛看谁错词，不是比赛看谁说对。
只要我一说错词郭天王就会非常开心，每个人都会很开心。
” 与其他选择稳妥的爱情题材作为处女作的新人女导演不同，杨采妮的导演处女作兼具争议与大胆。
《圣诞玫瑰》以性侵为题材讲述了一个罗生门般的故事，但只有真正看过影片之后才会知道，性侵只是《圣诞玫瑰》表面的“刺”，最让人震撼的，是包裹在层层“花瓣”中间的真相。
当天，这个真相首度呈现在沪上观众的面前。
当天影片放映结束后，灯光亮起，现场响起掌声的同时还透出一股“诡异”的气氛：许多女观众的眼圈都红了，而男观众则大多一脸严肃的样子。
“太狠了，杀伤力太大，十个男人看完九个都会害怕。
”一位男性观众直到片尾字幕出完才缓缓地吐出这句话，而这也得到了周围一些男性观众的认可。
相比之下，绝大多数女性观众都对桂纶镁的遭遇表示出了最大的同情，“她太可怜了，是最大的受害者，这故事对别人来说或许太残酷，但对她来说或许是一次重生的机会，所以很能打动人。
