Since I delivered my inaugural address, 56 months ago, I have learned an enormous amount—about higher education, about leadership, and also about myself. Some things look different to me than they did five years ago. ”是啊，艺术有着神奇的魅力，它吸引着每一个对它感兴趣的人。
谁都明白，艺术会有许多的表达形式，而绘画就是其中一种。
而我就是一个忠迷于它的人。
在我小时侯，就似乎于绘画结下了不解之缘。
上一年级时，除了体育，我最喜欢绘画了，我可以做我喜欢做的事：画画。
每次老师布置下来了作业，我都会尽力完成。
即使失去点玩的时间也心甘情愿。
然而，每次的回复都是“优加”。
这使我的心有了很大的震撼与欣喜。
也许，就是在那时，我的心才拨下了艺术的种子，我的绘画天赋和潜力才有所发掘。
打那以后，我对绘画愈加喜爱，常常抽出一些时间与精力来钻研，这使我的画技逐渐提高。
直到有一次，辛苦的付出使我得到了收获的喜悦，愈加激发了我对绘画的动力。
那是一个星期五的傍晚，我忽然接到老师的通知，要出一张读书海报，要2开大的纸来出。
我欣然接受了任务。
想到能展示自己的才华，我兴奋极了。
到了周末，我做完作业，便把纸拿了出来，往桌子上一摊，不由得愣住了。
2开大的纸啊，相当于四张8开纸的大小
洁白的画纸几乎占满了整个桌面。
正想收起画纸，可绘画的欲望让我重新提起了画笔。
我思考了一会儿，便那起笔，在画纸上龙飞凤舞起来。
不一会儿，空旷的画纸上出现了一座万里长城的轮廓。
我修改了一下，便拿出了彩笔，开始涂色了。
一会儿工笔细描，一会儿大块涂抹，画得不亦乐乎，万里长城的雄姿渐渐在我的笔下显示出来。
时间一分一秒地流逝，不觉已是傍晚了，妈妈叫我吃饭，我只好恋恋不舍地放下画笔，准备去吃饭。
可我的双腿早已麻木，酸痛得站不起来了，在看看那幅画，还有一大半没有完成，真想放弃，但我的毅力提醒我要坚持。
后来妈妈把饭菜放到我的书桌上，我才坐下来，继续画…… 我把一整天的时间都投入到了这幅画的创作中，可还是没完成。
晚上，我独自苦战到了夜晚12：30多，还差一些就能完工了。
可此时的我早已是睡眼朦胧，眼皮好似千斤重，上下不停地“打架”。
实在不行了，就闭眼眯一会儿，之后再起来做。
妈妈早已再一旁睡着了，而我为了这幅未完成的画，还得继续画。
终于，在大钟“铛——铛——”地敲响1：00的钟声时，我总算把这幅画完成了。
此时我早已站不住了。
我拖着疲惫的身体，草草收拾了一下，就到在了床上，进入了梦乡。
第二天，我把画交给了学校，几乎所有老师都震惊了。
我也如愿得获得了一等奖。
这时，我疲惫的脸上才露出了欣慰的笑容…… 这件事早已过去，可我依旧记忆犹新。
因为这是我为绘画投入最多精力与时间的一次。
这也是我一次对自己画技的检测。
之后，我一次次在县、市的比赛中获奖，一次次从绘画中得到提高、乐趣与启迪。
我会永远珍爱这门艺术。
它已成了我灵魂的一部分。

As everyone knows,English is very important today.It has been used everywhere in the world.It has become the most common language on Internet and for international trade. If we can speak English well,we will have more chance to succeed.Because more and more people have taken notice of it,the number of the people who go to learn English has increased at a high speed. But for myself,I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulness,but also because of my love for it.When I learn English, I can feel a different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world.When I read English novels,I can feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the translation.When I speak English, I can feel the confident from my words.When I write English,I can see the beauty which is not the same as our Chinese...
