宫崎骏知道后大发雷霆：“谁说会混乱的
放假了才会混乱
……你们正在做的是电影，在这种时候更要创造神话
哪怕有余震也得画
”就这样，工作室取消放假，大家顶着余震发生的危险继续上班，最终片子奇迹般准时首映。
