Dreams will come true Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, my topic today is: ‘Dreams will come true’Deep in my heart,I firmly believe that I am a person with great confidence, passion, ambition and resolution, and I always require myself to be of one percent of inspiration and ninety-nine percent of perspiration, since my English name is Genius. I always work till two or three o’clock in the morning, and get up at six to do my morning reading，with three alarm clocks to wake me up. But there was a period of time, day and night, I was figuring, how I could get my dreams come true. I was just thinking, thinking, and thinking, but too hesitating to even take one step. Because I doubted if the matter at hand was worth doing. So, the result is I just have the time wasted and didn’t get anything done. It was really a painful experience. And afterwards, I found that increasingly college students have stumbled in like manner so their dreams just always remain dreams and they finally get tired to dream any more. How pathetic! But what’s even worse, for ourselves still don’t realize our attitude should be changed, our teachers still don’t realize their attitude toward students should be changed, and our nation still don’t realize its attitude toward our education should be changed. But my fellow students, I still have a dream, that one day we can hold the patience to build our castle one brick at a time for we believe, small attempts, repeated, will complete any undertaking.And my honorable judges, I still have a dream, eagerly and humbly, that our teachers will put more emphasis on cultivating students’ attitude but not only marks since teacher used to be regarded as the engineer of human being’s spirit and soul.I have a dream, Deeply rooted in our Chinese dream, that one day our China will hold the attitude that nothing is more important than education so the educational system will be reformed and the rising generation will no longer be restrained by education but be well educated and developed by education and their attitude will be cultivated right by education, and their dreams as well as Chinese dreams will one day, finally be realized by education! I have a dream, deeply rooted in this platform, that one day, more and more voices from platforms from teachers and students will be heard and recognized all around our motherland, so everyone will share the same dream with me, and our consciousness of our national responsibility will be awaken, and our culture, our nation will finally be restored! I have a dream, deeply rooted in this platform, that one day, more and more noble voices will be heard from platforms in Nanjing of china, in Hiroshima and Nagasaki of Japan, in Stalingrad of Russia, in Baghdad of Iraq, in Iran, in Korea, in America, in Palestine, in Israel, in Congo, in the whole world. so the future generations will hold objective and positive attitude toward the history and the future, so the glob will share the attitude and the same dream: love, peace, and harmony! The Importance of Knowing Oneself Knowing yourself is a very important task which one has to undertake, it can often be the most challenging as well。
When a person knows who they are, and clearly understands what they want, then they have a much better chance of discovering how to reach their own success, happiness and personal fulfilment! Knowing one's true inner self can be of great help to anyone working to reach their goals more effectively. It helps guide you along the path toward success. This not only fills us with much happiness, bliss and calmness but also improves our mindset, as well as our relationships and connections with others.Knowing yourself consequently, empowers and enables you to create different choices. Success easily comes to those with pleasing personalities. However, this does not necessarily mean that you must do everything which other people want you to; rather it means acquiring a positive attitude and mindset? it means being respectful to the opinions of others while at the same time remaining true to one's own beliefs. Don't expect to suddenly go on a certain course and immediately become aware of yourself or enlightened. The success of such a journey depends deeply on how bravely you face yourself; on the way, you might discover certain things which you do not like and possibly choose to hide or even deny. The basic principle of knowing yourself is that every person is responsible, in control and generate their own thoughts to the life they encounter. Rationalizations are used by many people to give a justifiable explanation for their actions. One may then pretend that the problem is not their own - and now it may be blamed on the other person. This is known as projection. You therefore need to discover and improve the true you, and not what others perceive you to be, and also not who you believe you must be, but the person that you truly are. Knowing yourself will enable you to develop your full potential and be happy, contented and fulfilled? Then indeed, when you reach your goals, you will turn out to be a much happier person. And that is real success in its truest sense.
