It is evident that these days, when you turn on your television, your radios, even blogs on the internet, all you can see, hear, read and even smell is unrest. Haven’t we gotten sick and tired of all these? Even a religious icon called for the assasination of a country’s leader. A mother’s anguish over her son’s death in Iraq has stirred a lot of emotional unrest as well. History should have taught us what we should all know now. War isn’t the answer. But still, we are plagued by it. Who will stand up for a resolution towards world peace? Who will listen? What will it take for people to just step back for even just one minute and realize that the human race has not progressed even after Hiroshima was bombed, Pearl Harbor, the Vietnam War and all the wars in history, the genocides, tyrants, conquerors and dictators? Haven’t we learned anything at all? I say, let peace start NOW before we all destroy our own humanity. 和平的钟声何时向渴望和平的人们敲醒
战争，多么敏感的字眼；战争，人们痛苦的回忆。
世界上，发生了数之不尽的战争，从原始人赤手空拳到先进且杀伤力，毁灭性极强的生化武器；这都是因为战争而产生的；战争，是残酷的；战争，是沉重的；战争，更是无奈的
战争，为什么会发生
因为人类是自私的；人类为了满足自己的私欲，便会发动战争；而在一次次的侵略成功后，人类并没有就此收敛，而是变得更加贪婪；而被侵略的人类也不会就这样罢手，他们会采取报复，有一次次地反抗。
所以，战争的硝烟就一发不可收拾，熊熊燃烧，烧去了人类最淳朴的人道，良知…… 战争，又会带来什么
既有利又有弊吗
但是在我看来，战争只会带来危害：所谓的战争可以促进科技的发展，那简直是废话。
虽然在第二次世界大战中，战争促进了核的发展，使核技术快速的提升；但却因此制造了原子弹，有了原子弹，便可发动更大规模的战争，也就标志着人类将面临更大的灾难
战争，留下的又 是什么呢
留下的除了无尽的伤痛，还是无尽的伤痛；只要是战争的硝烟所弥漫之处，无不是笼罩在哭声，火光，血泊，侵略者无恶不作————烧，杀，抢，掠，淫，残无人道
就如“英法联军”入侵中国，闯进圆明园一般，因为圆明园的富丽堂皇，金银珠宝太过耀眼，所以“英法联军”就将东方的幻想艺术圆明园的一切洗劫一空；更令人憎恨的是为了销毁自己犯罪的证据，又将圆明园一火烧尽……还有日军侵略中国的南京后，任意妄为，造成了震惊世界的“南京大屠杀”，使30万的中国同胞遇难；一切的一切，都是人类带来了沉重的，痛苦的回忆，使人们永远的被恐惧，阴霾所笼罩着…… 战争，给世界造成惨重的损失，给人类留下了不堪的回忆；我们热爱和平，我们不喜欢战争，但是在这个世界上，枪声，炮声，爆炸声，远远多于鞭炮声和礼炮声。
就在刚刚过去的20世纪，全世界发生了大小战争总共不下400次；在两次 世界的战中，人类更是付出了惨痛的代价，战争给人类留下的是语言无法形容的悲伤…… 我们多么渴望和平啊，我们多么希望战争留下的碳火不在因风燃烧，那多好啊
什么时候才能听到和平的钟声向渴望和平的人们敲响呢
何时才能过上纯朴的桃园生活呢
又在什么时候世界才能做到真正的铸剑为犁呢
让我们一起携手，丢弃武器，高唱和平之歌，放飞理想之鸽，共同创建一个理想的和谐的社会
