Youth Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life . Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .

今天我讲话的主题是：勿忘国耻，振兴中华。
我们刚刚迎来了伟大祖国58岁华诞,我们每一个中国人都为她自豪,为她骄傲!因为她历史悠久，文化灿烂，是四大文明古国之一；因为她资源丰富，地大物博,拥有960万平方公里的陆地国土还拥有近300万平方公里的蓝色国土。

一切探索救国救民的先辈们是中国的脊梁，伟大的抗战英雄是中国的脊梁，而我们，必将成为新世纪复兴中华民族的脊梁，就是因为有这么多的脊梁，中国才会有振兴的一日
同学们，作为世界上最坚韧民族的一员，作为龙的子孙，让我们时刻紧记“勿忘国耻，振兴中华”为中华之腾飞而读书
