Here I am sitting on a couch alone, thinking about what I have just finished reading with tears of sadness filling my eyes and fire of indignation filling my heart, which revived my exhausted soul that has already been covered by the cruelty and the selfishness of the secular world for a long time. It is truly what I felt after reading Oliver Twist, written by the prominent British author Charles Dickens. The resonance between me and the book makes me feel not only the kindness and the wickedness of all the characters in the novel, but what this aloof society lacks, and what I lack deep inside. These supreme resources I’m talking about right now are somewhat different from minerals, oil that we usually mention. They’re abstract like feelings, and some kinds of spiritual stimulation that all of us desire anxiously from one another —— love and care. Those charitable figures whom Dickens created in the novel are really what we need in life. They showed love and care to others, just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth, which was carved into my heart deeply. Mr. Brownlow is one such person. The other day he had one of his elaborate watches stolen by two skilled teenage thieves, Artful Dodger and Charley Bates, and thought naturally it was Oliver, who was an orphan and forced to live with a gang of thieves, that had done it because he was the only one near by after the theft had taken place. Being wrathful, he caught Oliver, and sent him to the police station where the ill-tempered, unfair magistrates worked. Fortunately for him, Oliver was proved innocent by one onlooker afterwards. With sympathy, Mr. Brownlow took the injured, poor Oliver to his own home. There Oliver lived freely and gleefully for some months as if he were Mr. Brownlow’s own son. One day, however, Mr. Brownlow asked Oliver to return some books to the bookseller and to send some money for the new books that he had already collected. The thief Oliver once stayed with kidnapped him. After that he disappeared in Mr. Brownlow’s life. Searching for a while, Mr. Brownlow had to believe the fact that he had run away with his money. But dramatically, they came across each other again a few years later. Without hesitation, Mr. Brownlow took Oliver home for the second time not caring if he had done something evil. Perhaps most of us would feel confused about Mr. Brownlow’s reaction. But as a matter of fact, this is just the lesson we should learn from him. Jesus said in the Bible. “Forgive not seven times, but seventy-times seven.” Why is that? Because forgiveness is our ability to remove negative thoughts and neutralize them so our energy may be spent on doing what we came here for. We cannot move forward in our future if past issues cloud our thinking. Stop put Mr. Brownlow into the list of your models. Always give people a second chance no matter what they might have done. That’s also a substantial part of loving and caring others. Charles Dickens said:“Love makes the world go around.” These immortal words have inspired and will keep on inspiring us to chant the melody of love and to say the prayer of care forevermore. Let us, therefore, enjoy life and treat other people lovingly. These principles are the roots and foundations of beliefs supporting this article and our mission together.

Goodness is to humans what water is to fish Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain,. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. The goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. Goodness is to humans what water is to fish. He who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person. On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person. People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself. Tom Sawyer -- is the giant Mark Twain by American young life as the main body. The story background, the nineteenth century American Mississippi River in st. Petersburg. The protagonist Tom is innocent and lively and playful. The typical American young He and the wild child shark, do a lot of changes. As Tom was painted walls, but a trick, not only make the other children to replace him willingly, also be XieLi on. Later and shark, fled to island people thought they were drowned, for they held a funeral church, but they were hiding in the church tower on eavesdropping. These naughty action, although cannot give us a model for justice, but he came to testify, resolutely lift, save the innocent criminals foam husband Peter. And in the naughty, incredibly and shark uncovered a murder, become all admired the little hero. Tom seems to have worthy of our study. Actually the naughty children sometimes just reflected the innocent children. This childlike had childhood is hard to find, can let us find only a bit, it will be remembered the occasional sweet memory. I believe, if your childhood again hard, in retrospect, you will be happy. Who hasn't done a thing in childhood and the foolish? When you grow up, you will feel these stupid interesting. I said my childhood is like a pot liqueur, after, the longer the sweet taste, the pure, the aftertaste letting a person. People always grow, besides height, body has grown stronger, people's thoughts are long. Your view on the world is different, sensible, no longer childish. But people is getting better. Don't like the adventures of the ruthless villains, and his quest do bad, people see people hate. But at last he still las toman, got a starved to death in the cave. Watching the adventures of Tom Sawyer -- I envy Tom can have such an interesting experience. The book makes people look with relish, even excises. I think, Tom Sawyer -- you annoyed when perhaps can make you laugh.
A Valentine Story (Doug Bell)John Blanchard stood up from the bench, straightened his Army uniform, and studied the crowd of people making their way through Grand Central Station. He looked for the girl whose heart he knew, but whose face he didn't, the girl with the rose. His interest in her had begun twelve months before in a Florida library. Taking a book off the shelf he soon found himself absorbed, not by the words of the book, but by the notes penciled in the margin. The soft handwriting reflected a thoughtful soul and insightful mind. In the front of the book, he discovered the previous owner 's name, Miss Hollis Meynell. With time and effort he located her address. She lived in New York City. He wrote her a letter introducing himself and inviting her to correspond. The next day he was shipped overseas for service in World War II. During the next year the two grew to know each other through the mail. Each letter was a seed falling on a fertile heart. A romance was budding. Blanchard requested a photograph, but she refused. She explained: If your feeling for me has any reality, any honest basis, what I look like won't matter. Suppose I 'm beautiful. I 'd always be haunted by the feeling that you had been taking a chance on just that, and that kind of love would disgust me. Suppose I 'm plain (and you must admit that this is more likely). Then I 'd always fear that you were going on writing to me only because you were lonely and had no one else. No, don't ask for my picture. When you come to New York, you shall see me and then you shall make your decision. Remember, both of us are free to stop or to go on after that—whichever we choose … When the day finally came for him to return from Europe, they scheduled their first meeting—7: 00 p.m. at Grand Central Station, New York. You'll recognize me,” she wrote, “by the red rose I'll be wearing on my lapel.” So, at 7: 00 p.m. he was in the station looking for a girl who had filled such a special place in his life for the past 12 months, a girl he had never seen, yet whose written words had been with him and sustained him unfailingly. I'll let Mr. Blanchard tell you what happened: A young woman was coming toward me, her figure long and slim. Her golden hair lay back in curls from her delicate ears; her eyes were blue as flowers. Her lips and chin had a gentle firmness, and in her pale green suit she was like springtime come alive. I started toward her, entirely forgetting to notice that she was not wearing a rose. As I moved, a small, provocative smile curved her lips. “Going my way, sailor? she murmured. Almost uncontrollably I made one step closer to her, and then I saw Hollis Meynell. She was standing almost directly behind the girl. A woman well past 40, she had graying hair pinned up under a worn hat. She was more than a little overweight, her thick-ankled feet thrust into low-heeled shoes. The girl in the green suit was walking quickly away. I felt as though I was split in two, so keen was my desire to follow her, and yet so deep was my longing for the woman whose spirit had truly companioned me and upheld my own. And there she stood. Her pale, round face was gentle and sensible, her gray eyes had a warm and kindly glow . I did not hesitate . My fingers gripped the small worn blue leather copy of the book that was to identify me to her. This would not be love, but it would be something precious, something perhaps even better than love, a friendship for which I had been and must ever be grateful . I squared my shoulders and saluted and held out the book to the woman, even though while I spoke I felt choked by the bitterness of my disappointment. “I 'm Lieutenant John Blanchard, and you must be Miss Meynell. I am so glad you could meet me; may I take you to dinner?” The woman 's face broadened into a smile. “I don't know what this is about, son,” she answered, “but the young lady in the green suit who just went by, she begged me to wear this rose on my coat. And she said if you were to ask me out to dinner, I should go and tell you that she is waiting for you in the big restaurant across the street. She said it was some kind of test!” It's not difficult to understand and admire Miss Meynell 's wisdom. The true nature of a heart is seen in its response to the unattractive. “Tell me whom you love, Houssaye wrote, “and I will tell you who you are.”
