影片把美国人奋斗于逆境，追求个人独立、尊严、爱情，永远乐观进取的民族精神表现得淋漓尽致。
郝思嘉，一个中产阶级家庭出身的弱小女子，历经了情场失意、内乱战火、家园重建、爱女夭折、丈夫出走等一连串巨大的困难和挫折，这些打击不是一般的女性可以承受的，但她却始终没有向命运低头，她也从不胆怯，一次次重新把生活的主动权夺回到自己手中。

《乱世佳人》又名《飘》是我最喜爱的书，是以美国南北战争时期南方动乱的社会现实为背景的爱情小说。
小说以亚特兰大及附近的一个种植园为故事背景，描绘了内战前后美国南方人的生活。
以“乱世佳人”斯佳丽为主线，描写了几对青年的爱情纠葛。
初读《乱世佳人》时，对小说的女主人公的感觉是矛盾的——既有些讨厌，但又不得不敬佩她。
讨厌的是为了功利，为了钱等不择手段，而选择婚姻。
甚至是不惜损害自己的妹妹，抢走了她的未婚夫；讨厌她面对白瑞特的爱时，那愚蠢的固执。
但她的勇敢与坚强和那份艰苦创业的精神又不得不让我敬佩。
再读时，突然间感觉：斯佳丽那种对金钱和土地的狂热追求是可以理解的。
在那种战争爆发的动乱的社会，她一个女子却要独自承担起养活包括自己情人和情敌在内的一大家人的重担，那是多么繁重的担子啊
况且，在亚特兰大，作为一个妇女，平时出门就也许会遭到别人的非议。
可她，为了担负起此重担，不得不与黑人做生意。
斯佳丽就像一个小孩子一样，对自己想要的东西异常执着，而对自己所拥有的东西却不屑一顾。
斯佳丽认为自己爱的是阿希礼，可是阿希礼却不爱她，就像白瑞特说的那样，阿希礼是个君子，只是生在了一个和他格格不入的时代。
他还是用旧世界的游戏规则生活，只会撞得一鼻子灰。
可是斯佳丽却不明白，越是得不到，难以实现的，就越追求不舍。
可是，到最后才发现，她最爱的人一直就在自己身边却不曾意识到，等到明白时，却为时已晚。
但斯佳丽就是斯佳丽，她没有绝望，她只是告诉自己：Tomorrow is another day
斯佳丽，始终就是这样一个充满生气、充满斗志的人。
小说中的另一个人，也是我最喜爱的人——白瑞特。
白瑞特有着良好的家世，却并不以此为荣。
他有着锐利的眼睛，有着聪明的头脑，他能很快在乱世找到自己的处身之道。
他的勇敢、执着，他的机智果断，都成为让人喜欢的因素，还有他放荡的外表下那颗专一的心也使人喜欢。
他爱斯佳丽、保护斯佳丽、宠爱斯佳丽、照顾斯佳丽，他希望让她事事称心，可这些却被斯佳丽拒绝了，于是他一直耐心地等待，等待他爱的斯佳丽也能同样爱上他，可是再永恒的爱也会有磨光的时候。
就这样，当他的女儿离开他时，他的心死了，再也回不来了。
于是，他选择了离开。
读《乱世佳人》时，对斯佳丽面对困难所表现出来的大无畏精神佩服；对她有时为达目的而不择手段而反感；对她对阿希礼迟迟不肯放手的愚蠢固执而气愤；对白瑞特对斯佳丽的默默付出而倍感愉悦；对白瑞特最后的离开表示惋惜……斯佳丽是个矛盾体，可又有谁不是矛盾体呢
她在生命的道路上一路走来，当她面对困难时，她选择迎接，当她面对责任时，她选择担负，可当她面对爱的抉择是，起初，她选择蒙蔽自己，当她终于认清，要面对时，却已为时已晚。
而她，在无能为力时，就会告诉自己，明天是新的一天，明天一切都会好了，Tomorrow is another day。
她在整个故事中，都是个充满生气、充满斗志的人。
我最欣赏的，便是她的这句“Tomorrow is another day.”。
永远充满了希望，充满斗志，永远不会放弃，不会绝望。
这份精神，是最值得我学习的。
所以，每当我遇到困难、心情不佳时，我便会告诉自己：“Tomorrow is another day.”。

合上厚厚的书本，回想似是与郝思嘉共同经历的那段艰苦岁月，不禁感慨万千，为她的欢乐而欢乐，为她的悲痛而感伤，为她的勇敢坚强而钦佩，这段岁月属于生命真正的勇者。
她没有埃伦的温柔娴熟，待人谦逊而又富有教养，她有的是精明能干的头脑和不达目的不罢休的冲劲；她没有媚兰的善解人意，宽厚慈爱，深得别人喜爱，而是张扬放肆，敢爱敢恨。
他继承了父亲嘉乐的豪爽、不拘小节、暴躁的性格，又接受了母亲埃伦大家闺秀的教育，造就了她矛盾而富有特点的性格，她就是——郝思嘉。
也许，郝思嘉身上时有太多为人诟病的性格，她固执、自私自利、拜金、吝啬，她背叛当时妇女的道德观；剥削手下囚犯的劳动，甚至是狡诈，但是人无完人，这一切并不能成为否定她的理由，她任何的缺点都不能掩盖她性格中的亮点。
我们生活在一个相对和平和开放的时代，我们不必去为生计担忧，也不必担心随时降临的战火，但是，我们的生活中何尝没有起伏坎坷呢
我们也许会为一场考试的失利而懊恼失意；会为事业上的坎坷而痛苦伤心，我们绕不开那些必经的曲折，就只能像郝思嘉一样，勇敢地面对它们，而不是退缩、放弃。
很多时候，命运总是在和我们开玩笑，我们对它哭，它只会让我们觉得更痛苦；我们对它笑，它就会带给我们希望，既然如此，何不放开已不能再改变的过去，来把握一个属于你的明天
毕竟，再多的痛苦与失败也只属于昨天，明天只属于自己，只有自己能改变命运，每一天都是一个新的开始，没有什么能阻止我们的努力与奋斗。
不论思嘉选择的路正确与否，她在痛苦面前不屈服的勇气便是值得我们学习的，我们正是要用他那种永不言弃的精神来面对学习、生活中的一切纷扰与失意，成为生命的强者。
