The story happened in Boston about 200 years ago. It narrates love affairs between three persons. The punished woman. Hester Prynne and his husband. Who called himself Roger Chillingworth . He is an old misshapen man and a doctor. Hester does not love him at all. Another man is a young minister, Dimmesdale, who has a high position among ministers and is highly respected among his people in town. Hester and Dimmesdale love each other. But their love is forbidden in that time . It is sinful. Due to this,Hester is punished by society with a letter A on her chest, which considered an evil, a shame. In this novel, the mainline seems to be around the letter A. Hester is brave enough to face the cruel reality. She is always with a mind of courage. She has been alone with her child for so long , with litter communication. Shame! Hopelessness! Loneliness! Hester has to wear the letter A day after day, seven years as for punishment and ill fame. When a woman has lived through a difficult experience, her character changes a great deal. If she be all tenderness, she will die. If she survive, the tenderness will leave her .Hester’s charitable deeds and quiet humility have earned her a reprieve from the scorn of the community. The letter on her chest represents her work on earth , always helping others, without expecting any thanks. Never afterwards, does that scarlet letter leave her chest. The townspeople no longer view the letter as a punishment , but rather as representing her great strength and bravery and thy say it means “Able”. But Arthur Dimmesdale, his sin against Hester and Pearl is that he will not acknowledge them as his wife and daughter in the daylight. He keeps his dreadful secret from all those under his care in the church for seven years for fear that he will lose their love and will not be forgiven. He is too weak to admit his sins. He suffers from mysterious heart trouble, seemingly caused by psychological distress. What’s worse, he is an advisor to the townspeople about their sins. After Mr. Dimmesdale’s death , no one changes more in appearance than Roger Chilling worth. All his strength and energy has been used to harm his patient . This unhappy man has made his aim in life to add to the suffering of the young minister. When the evil old man no longer has such a purpose, the devil takes him back to the hell . It is a curious subject of observation, however, whether hatred or love are not of the same place. Each takes a great deal of emotion from one person. The two feelings seem basically the same, expect that one is smiled upon by God, while the other is worshipped by the devil.

（1）现在我决定集中精力把这本《富兰克林自传》读完，之后再写一些相关的文章锻炼一下自己的文笔。
回头再读我以前写的文字，觉得我的退步很大。
我想这是因为我太急躁了，有点急功近利的思想。
这也是上网太多带给我的弊端。
所以我要静下心来专心读书。
把我感兴趣的东西记录在此： P110，富兰克林提出了13种德行，要求自己一个一个来掌握。
一、节制。
食不过饱；饮酒不醉。
二、沉默寡言。
言必于人于己有益；避免无益的聊天。
三、生活秩序。
每一样东西应有一定的安放的地方；每件日常事务应当有一定的时间。
四、决心。
当做必做；决心要做的事应坚持不懈。
五、俭朴。
用钱必须于人于己有益，换言之，切戒浪费。
六、勤勉。
不浪费时间；每时每刻做些有用的事，戒掉一切不必要的行动。
七、诚恳。
不欺骗人；思想要纯洁公正；说话也要如此。
八、公正。
不做不利于人的事，不要忘记履行对人有益而又是你应尽的义务。
九、中庸适度。
避免极端；人若给你应得处罚，你当容忍之。
十、清洁。
身体、衣服和住所力求清洁。
十一、镇静。
勿因小事或普通的不可避免的事故而惊慌失措。
十二、贞节。
除了为了健康或生育后代起见，不常举行房事，切戒房事过度，伤害身体或损害你自己或他人的安宁或名誉。
十三、谦虚。
仿效耶稣和苏格拉底。
制定了这十三条原则后，富兰克林还制定了一系列严格的计划来让自己培养这十三条美德。
最终经过艰苦的努力（我想应该是艰苦的，因为世界上最难的就是和自己做斗争），他成为举世闻名的人。
我从前就听说过有一些人读了《富兰克林自传》以后，把富兰克林的行为准则当成自己的行为准则，贴在墙上，每天研习。
郑土生先生在这本书的序言中写道：“我认为对‘改进全人类’影响最大、最深远的事情是富兰克林在《自传》中介绍的‘一个达到完美品德的大胆而费力的计划’。
”这么著名的“富兰克林”计划，我今天才看到，实在是觉得有点不好意思，也更加感到从前荒废了很多时间。
没有利用空闲时间多读一些书是我的一大遗憾。
我想如果在我青少年时代也读到了这本书，可能也像众多的有理想的青年一样，把它抄下来贴在墙上，严格按照富兰克林所说的方法进行训练。
因为我在小学的时候也经常制定计划，还有一个详细的时间表贴在墙上，规定了几点起床，几点吃饭，几点做作业，几点玩，几点整理书包……制定的非常详细。
但是这种计划常常执行一段时间就执行不下去了。
因为“计划没有变化快”。
如果有一件意外的事打乱了计划，下面的计划也就不能按照时间表执行了。
读这本书使我想起了这张计划表，如果它能够保存到现在，倒真很有意义呢，它见证了我富有激情的青春。
现在我是不再有激情去做什么计划了，不过对于富兰克林的十三条准则，我打算仔细分析一下，认为是好的就照做。
一、节制。
我一半赞成，一半反对。
对于健康来讲，富先生所提当然没错。
但是美食当前，人也有无须克制的时候。
所谓“人生得意须尽欢，莫使金樽空对月”，人有时候也需要放纵自己。
一味克制自己的食欲，虽然健康终老，却从没有尝到过纵情享乐的滋味，那也是有一点遗憾。
只是这种放纵不宜过多。
平常的时候都应按照富先生所说去做，唯有特殊时刻可以例外，这样人生才不显得死板。
不过富先生可能要问了，什么时候算是特殊时刻呢
一旦有了例外，就不好执行，最后计划难免流产。
这也不错，具体执行就要看这个人的判断力和克制力了。
反正我是赞成有例外的。
二、沉默寡言。
这一条我不赞成。
我想富先生之所以提出这一条是怕“言多必失”，另外怕闲谈多了耽误时间。
但沉默寡言的人常给人深不可测或木讷无趣的感觉，会影响到人际交往。
有时看似毫无意义的闲谈，却加深了友谊，增进了交流，为下一步的更深一步的交往打下基础。
至于上述担心的两条也要执行人把握好尺度，什么话该说，什么话不该说，自己应该有所把握。
所谓“话到嘴边留半句”讲的就是这个意思。
而闲谈也勿太久，不能占用自己的工作和学习时间，也不能给人以“他一天闲着没事竟聊天”的印象。
三、生活秩序。
这一点严重赞成。
四、决心。
这一点严重赞成。
五、俭朴。
严重赞成。
六、勤勉。
赞成。
七、诚恳。
赞成。
不能为了所谓的成功或一己私利把自己塑造成一个卑鄙小人。
八、公正。
赞成。
九、中庸适度。
赞成。
十、清洁。
赞成。
十一、镇静。
赞成。
十二、贞节。
这一点稍有不同意见。
同样觉得在道德和健康允许范围内，没有必要过分节制。
又不是僧人。
当然可能富兰克林先生也是这个意思。
十三、谦虚。
这一点富兰克林先生的观点和现代一些人的观点稍有不同。
富兰克林“不许自己使用英语中一切表明肯定见解的单词或辞句，例如‘一定地’、‘无疑地’等等。
相反的，采用‘我想象’、‘我料想’”，而现代人通常反过来，即使自己对自己正在做或正在谈的事情一无所知或只是一知半解，也要装成完全懂的样子，喜欢用完全肯定的语句，以免对方对自己有所怀疑，使自己的能力不被信任。
而事实上也是如此，如果你在讨论问题时，明明自己很肯定的事情，却使用了不太肯定的语气，那么首先你给对方的印象就是你不自信，并且他也会对你的工作产生怀疑。
所以说谦虚也不能过分。
我想因为富兰克林先生本来并不是一个谦虚的人，他从前常常因为傲慢的语气而显得有点盛气凌人，所以他才制定了这条规则来约束自己。
而对于一些本来已经很谦虚的人就没有必要照做了。
否则一再的强调这一点可能会使自己显得有点畏首畏尾。
在工作中是这样，在生活中就稍有不同了。
我有一个朋友，她在工作时意识到使用肯定语气给自己带来了好处，不自觉在生活中也常常这样做，例如我们在看某个电视剧时，明明我们很肯定这个演员的名字，而她可能并不完全肯定，她的意见又和我们不一致，她也使用肯定的语气，表示她说的没有错，错的是对方，这就让人很不愉快。
所以说在生活中对于这些无关紧要的事情还是不要太自以为是的好一些。
这是我读了这一段时的一点小感受，与大家共勉。

《轮椅上的霍金》读后感当我第一次读完《轮椅上的霍金》这篇文章的时候，便被霍金那种乐观、感恩的心深深地感动了。
我佩服霍金，他用一个常人不能想象的毅力和感恩的心战胜病魔。
他不断求索的精神折服了我。
霍金是一位物理天才，被人们称为“宇宙之王”。
他所撰写的《时间简史》在全球也拥有着无数的读者，霍金本人也跻身世界顶级的科学家之列。
但是命运对他十分残酷，21岁的他在剑桥大学读研究生时，不幸患上了肌肉萎缩症，不久完全瘫痪。
1985年，霍金又因患肺炎做了穿气管手术，失去了说话的能力。
