Put on those glasses and you get toothpaste spat in your face, a T-Rex breathing up your nostrils, and what may be the longest fall in movie history. I don't know if 3-D could improve all movies (nothing could make The Love Guru funny) but it sure works here.2What makes for a successful family film? Where the movie falters is with its story and characters, which are about two dimensions short of being in 3-D. A dangerous mine car ride straight out of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom provides some excitement, as does a scene where Trevor and Sean try to out run a T-Rex. Though similar to moments in hundreds of video games, the director manages to elicit giddy thrills with the high-flying stunts. With each of these set-pieces coming one after the other and numerous things jumping at you from the screen, it's impossible to get bored during the film's short running time.The performances are perfectly serviceable considering that the characters have no depth. Fraser has made a career out of mugging while fleeing CGI monstrosities, and he acquits himself well here. It's actually offensive in a way as you can only take so much. There isn't much for special effects wizard turned director Eric Brevig to work with, but even his direction is as basic as you can get. So it makes me wonder if they were paying too much attention on the 3D stuff than the actual direction and story. After all, Cameron has spent almost 3 years and going on Avator. The creative team of Journey of the Center of the Earth spent a faction of that time. It's a new way to make a film, which I'm all for as we need some flare to the film watch experience. But the bottom line always is an entertaining story where they take you into their world and you're glad to follow them. Even wanted to travel to the center of the earth? I am sure not many would have even thought of this. If it is travelling to a different country especially a popular tourist destination then I am sure all people will be willing. Even if it is a popular shopping destination for example like the Dubai Shopping Festival or the Malaysia Mega Sale I am sure you will find many takers. Even space travel will fascinate most of us and you will find lots of takers on making a trip to outer space. However, going to the center of the earth, no way would be most people’s first thought. Well you can make this journey quite safely with the new movie “Journey To The Center Of The Earth” with Brendan Fraser for company. What’s exciting about this movie is that it’s in 3D and while it is based on Jules Verne popular book there are deviations in it with creatures like dinosaurs, piranhas, man eating plants (yeah like Peter Jackson’s King Kong) and most will leap out at you this being a 3D movie. The storyline\\\/plot is weak, but the 3D special effects will certainly get the ball rolling. Being in India I will have to wait a while before being able to catch the movie, but if you can then do watch it and let me know how it turns out. I remember as a kid my mom telling me that people dug the earth to get to its center, but then stopped and gave up when they heard screams emanating from below and they were convinced they had stumbled upon hell and the screams were of the tormented inhabitants of hell. Later on I learnt that the Russians had indeed started to dig during the cold war to get to the center of the earth and even here there were rumors about screams being heard and the Russians giving up on the dig because they too believed they had stumbled onto hell, but the truth it turns out was that the rocks were so hot they kept melting and fusing the holes so the dig could not progress and the Russians had to call it a day. The latest news is that the Japanese are planning to dig to the center of the earth and they are planning to do it at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean since the area there is only about 6 miles thick. Let’s see what comes of their dig. Till then we have to rely on Brendan Fraser taking us on a Journey To The Center Of The Earth.

地心游记2属于这样的片子，因为1拍的很爽，又因为碟中谍4看的很刺激，所以决定换个口味，于是团了两张票，欣喜地抱着大桶的爆米花，两杯送的可乐，拎着3D眼镜入座了。
豆瓣上的评分不说了，还是很客观的。
你说这片子适合小孩子看吧，但是画面还是不错的，大人也要欣赏；你说这片儿适合大人吧，满场的笑声大多来自孩子。
其实这部电影的效果还是不错的，老美再怎么拍烂片，只要在某一方面想下工夫，那功夫就能拿的上台面，只是“ 踩巨型蛋”、“骑蜜蜂”，“生死大逃亡”的桥段俗套至极、狗血至极，中间肖恩8岁就被亲生父亲抛弃，爷爷看肖恩的眼神，误导观众以为爷爷是继父肖恩他二大爷。
从昨天看完，到目前为止，全片的亮点便是强森烂漫的那首即兴的自弹自唱，风趣幽默的现编词儿，悠扬的曲调，反应老美乐观、积极向上、阳光的性格，这些性格天朝的人已经越来越少具备了。
当然还有一个亮点，是腐女们的最爱，波涛汹涌。
本来还期待着强森那货在片里来一把《速度与激情5》里边的硬汉搏击呢，譬如打个巨型蜥蜴或者蚂蚁什么的，3D的，加上影院的音效，多爽啊。
实在没有预料到用波涛汹涌给替代了。

极品的片子，享受之前就期待着，享受的时候是真正地享受，享受完了回味的时候也是很享受的，譬如终身念念不忘的《阿凡达》；次级品的片子，你不知不觉的就开始享受了，没带着多少期待，享受的时候才发现真是享受啊，譬如《变形金刚3》和《碟中谍4》；一般的片子，你看着，听着，感官接受了刺激能起反应，刺激完了就回过神儿了，譬如昨天看的《地心游记2》。
还有个问题想问下导演，为什么要叫地心游记啊，2就没往地里边去么。
