在无聊的一天，爱丽丝做了一个梦。
在梦中，她见到一只奇怪的兔子跳进了一个神奇的洞里，爱丽丝十分好奇，于是也悄悄地跟着跳了下去，她在这个洞里经历了许多不可思议的事情……她喝了“喝我” 瓶子里的水，变得只有十英寸高，连钥匙都够不到了，急得直哭；吃了“吃我”蛋糕后，她又长到三米高，成为一个巨人；后来她又遇上一只坏脾气的老鼠；见到一个喜欢砍别人脑袋的王后；在毫不知情的情况下，爱丽丝当了证人，就在王后要砍掉爱丽丝的头时，爱丽丝的梦结束了。
