张掖祁连山丹霞主要由红色砾石、砂岩和泥岩组成，有明显的干旱、半干旱气候的印迹，以交错层理、四壁陡峭、垂直节理、色彩斑斓而示奇，它是一个以自然风光为主的自然风景区，集广东丹霞山的雄、险、奇、幽、美于一身，揽新疆五彩城的色彩斑斓为一体。

丹霞的山峦蜿蜒曲折，山上的岩石是七彩的，这美景总是让人流连忘返。

想必大家都尝过举世皆知的，它的发祥地就在蒙自，所以准确地应更正为。
蒙自不仅古老，人民朴实、勤劳、善良、好客，而且其地理位置优势十分突出，历代都被视为兵家必争之地。
初期，曾经是州府所在地。
今天，由我陪同大家浏览有着“滇南明珠”之称，并分别载入、、的县级风景名胜区－－蒙自南湖。
她位于县城南部而得名，很早以前是一片沼泽，后经历代先辈悉心开发，劈山引水，形成一方名胜，现在总面积41万多平方米，以水面宽阔，自然风光秀丽而诱人。
围绕南湖，在云南的近代史上，许多“云南第一”都在她身旁应运而生。
第一个海关、第一个领事馆、第一个火力发电厂、第一个电灯公司、第一个民办铁路企业，以及中共云南第一次党代会等等。
现在，我们来到了南湖的北大门，请看门楣上，原楚图南先生题写的“南湖公园”那苍劲而有力的四个大字，以及其背面书写的“鱼我皆乐”，把“人与自然”这一 ’99的主题栩栩如生地体现了出来。
请看，大门的东南方，是被编入的省级文物保护单位之一的瀛洲亭。

西部的南湖的主景区，主要有桂堤，菘岛，纪念碑、亭，览胜楼，鹤苑，卧波桥，鹿苑，七彩桥，孔雀苑，蘑菇亭，澜回桥，军山以及烈士纪念碑、石刻雕塑等自然、人文景观。

更有趣的是，传说清军机大臣李鸿章出访法国，大热天法国佬给他一支冰棒解渴，李鸿章见冰棒在冒气，以为很烫，吹了半天才小心吃了一口，结果冰得他直倒牙，法国佬哈哈大笑。
李鸿章出了洋相，寻机报复。
不久该法国佬来到中国，李鸿章请他吃一种独特的食物－－蒙自过桥米线。
先上来一碗汤，看上去平平静静，热气全无，法国佬以为是一种冷饮，端起碗来就猛喝一口，立即被烫得七窍生烟，李鸿章则哈哈大笑。
