我们经常会遇见这样的情况，在咖啡厅四处张望等朋友的时候，在乘坐地铁去某地时，在开始正式上课之前等老师来时，不知道该做些什么，这就是我们通常所说的鸡肋时间，用来完成一件事情不够，什么都不做有很无聊。这段时间我们应该怎样利用呢？
以我为例，我在鸡肋时间里主要是靠读报，反省，和小睡度过的。小睡一会儿是我最喜欢的选择。短短十几分钟，往往会解除很大疲劳。如果实在睡不着，就会读报纸。
在鸡肋时间里，你可以做的比较有意义的事情是反省自己。不要小看了这一自省行为，通过反省，你可以明确自己在未来应该将精力集中在何处。现在许多年轻人甚至都不知道自己想要的究竟是什么？忙于跟风似得参加各种培训班，为自己积累所谓的资本，就像是跟着大众口味去消费一样。结果看似十分充实，积累了许多就业资本，可实际上，与同龄的竞争者并没有太大差别！
所以一天中至少拿出一点时间来反省自己，哪怕只是10分钟也好，如果没有认真的自我反省。就不知道自己未来将成为什么样的人！甚至不知道自己此刻在忙什么。其实自省并不需要冲一杯咖啡、屁股陷入沙发中、在明媚的阳光下才能够进行的，不是吗？

★为了写的一手好文章，我做了各种努力。首先是背诵诗歌，那时候，从家里到学校每天要坐1小时公交，我会利用这段时间来背诵写在小纸片上的诗歌，希望能够让自己的每一个细胞感染文学的气息……当然，我并没有成为诗人的想法，后来也没写过诗，但许多人在看到我的文字时，觉得很有节奏感，我想，这大概是受了诗歌的形象把。
★我还抄写了一些名家片段，至今一旦看到好的文字，我也要抄写在本子上，这正是那时候养成的习惯。记住，一定要用手抄。一口气读一大段作家的文字，再逐字逐句抄写在本子上，经过这一过程，作家强烈的写作风格就会深深印在你的脑海中。

马尔科姆.格拉德威尔在《异类:不一样的成功启示录》一书中提出了“一万小时法则”。他发现诸如比尔.盖茨一样的异类之所以能够取得成功，都是靠着1万小时的练习实现的。甚至被我们一直称为天才的莫扎特据说也是靠着1万小时的练习弹奏钢琴才激发了自己的才能！

懂得练习和积累的人是不会失败的。练习和积累是为了迎接未来的甜蜜而暂时忍受短暂的痛苦。忍受的时间即使达不到一万小时也可以让你幸福，因为那时的你一定有所变化。
