前几天在网上无意中看到了李安的一部家庭题材的电影《推手》。它表面上是一部喜剧片，看后去给我留下了深刻的思考与回忆。
这部电影是李安父亲三部曲的第一篇，围绕着一个移民美国的家庭中发生的故事，表现了东西方在文化和生活之间的差异，表现了传统的中国文化与美国的风土人情之间的冲突。
(一)、中西方对待老人问题的差异
电影中的儿媳多次向丈夫抱怨，为什么一定要和他的父亲住在一起。在这个问题上，儿子确认为应该尽孝道。老人的儿子在影片中是一个中西结合的角色，在影片的开始他还是一个比较偏向传统的中国人。妻子和父亲争吵时，他还是更多的站在父亲这一边的。老人问题，是个世界性的问题，而中国传统文化和西方现代文明的分歧却是很大的。但是，老人的儿子却没能坚持到最后，最终还是想将老父亲情出家门，那次迷路正好做了导火线!“共患难容易，共安乐难，从前那些苦日子我们都能相亲相爱，美国这么好的物质条件却容不下我在你家!”这句台词看的人心酸，但这也正是朱老和陈太太共同的感受啊。毕竟儿女们都接受了西方文化的感染，想过完全西式的生活，而老人正是他们的心病啊!于是，在和陈太太的交游事件后，朱老终于决定以离开来反对儿子的西方观念，这不免让人觉得可悲，但这也正是中西文化最难调和的一处!
(二)、中西饮食文化的差异
在中国，人们喜欢五谷杂粮，喜欢将各种蔬菜和肉类搭配，并用各种手法烹制成色、香、味具全的美味佳肴。但是在西方，人们对营养很重视，西方人多生吃蔬菜，不仅西红柿、黄瓜、生菜生吃，就是洋白菜、洋葱、也都生吃，使我们难以接受。所以，朱老才会在和儿子儿媳妇一起吃饭时，让儿子劝儿媳妇吃东西要讲究搭配，但是西式化的儿子只是回答他一句：“他怕胖!”
在用餐方式上。在中国，无论什么宴席，都是大家团团围坐，共享一席，美味佳肴放在桌子中间，它既是一桌人享用的对象，又是大家交流感情的媒介。在餐桌上，中国人都喜欢互相劝酒，夹菜，举杯共欢，非常和睦生趣。而西方就不同了，当他们聚在一起吃饭或请客时，劝酒，夹菜并没有中国人那么热情，并且客人与主人之间也没有那么客气。西方人更注重个人的独立性，各吃各的，没有中国人聊欢共乐的情趣。其次就是中西餐具的不同。影片中，朱老始终钟爱着传统的中式餐具，他的儿子也是，用碗和筷子。而西方人呢，则是盘子盛食物，用刀叉即切即吃，喝汤则有专门的汤匙。筷子与刀叉作为东西方最具代表性的两种餐具，筷子和刀叉影响了东西方不同的生活方式，代表着不同的两种智慧。
(三)中西方教育的差异

而且，朱老的观念中，生儿子是为传宗接代的.看法仍然存在，而这一观点显然引起了玛沙的强烈不满!
在老人入狱后，儿子的中国性又回到了身上，那颗中国式的孝心又回到他身上。儒家的“孝道”促使他将老父亲接回家。但是此时的父亲却拒绝了他的孝，要成全自己的儿子，只要儿子幸福一切都好，这又是中国的典型的爱子之心。或许只有中国的父母会为孩子操心一辈子，从出生到自己死去，孩子始终是他们生命中最终要得一部分，为孩子，他们可以抛弃一切，这与西方的文化观念又大有不同!
影片的最后虽然朱老和陈太太同样选择了离开子女，单独过，但这样的选择也是一种明智的选择，与其在一起别扭，到不如自己过自己来得舒坦，既然身在美国，就入乡随俗，谁让中西的文化之间存在差异呢!
