三百万的遗产对查理来说已经不重要，手足之情已经盖过了金钱。
查理一直争回雷蒙的抚养权，但在官司上败诉。
结果，雷蒙和查理因此需要分隔两地，雷蒙返要返回疗养院，两人在车站上依依不舍，查理得到的不是金钱而是一份兄弟的情义。
