For instance, there are a waste problem, a heat island, a noise problem, rural desolation and abuse of water resources. We need to solve these problems in the society and the environment with a long-term view especially in our country where rapid population reduction has occurred prior to the world. As approaching the zero emission, the advanced resource-recycling society, we will make the most effective and synthetic plans and solutions possibly accepted by the society under various restrictions. And we will develop the technology and the system to realize them such as increase in efficiency of resources use, promotion of reproducible resources, construction of a durable energy system, construction and maintenance of the city. Besides, we will support aging society by effective use of space, development of the eco-friendly materials in construction and the eco-friendly construction method and so on.
