这里简单说一下个人理解，首先球不一样，上场队员人数不一样，打法规则不一样，以上是废话，呵呵，一句话概括，英式是运动战，美式是阵地战。
英式是团队合作，互相传球以得分而美式的打法是四分卫传球，跑锋，外接手得分。
美式是一次进攻只能向前传一次，一码码推进；英式是可以无限次传球，甚至可以向前踢。

现在，美国六百多所大专院校橄榄球队分属60个橄榄球联盟。
美国职业橄榄球运动兴起于上世纪八十年代末，参赛者一场比赛可挣得600美元。
在金钱引诱下，许多大专院校主力队员毕业后便进入职业队。
现在，各职业队队员不得参加业余队比赛。
目前，各职业队组织都归属在全国橄榄球联盟。
该联盟下属一些联合会和赛区，各赛区获胜者争夺全国职业橄榄球赛冠军。
