再就是对待变化的态度上，中国人注重求稳而美国人则注重求变。
这一点在影片中通过大同的父亲体现的尤为明显。

在影片开始，大同和朋友一起进入颁奖大厅前，有很多人在门前搞反对游戏等活动，而美国警方则不会去制止，这体现了他们尊重言论自由。
再就是自然环境不同也会造成文化差异。
亚洲的自然环境使得中国人更具有群体意识，并且很注重讲究等级次序，长幼有别;而在美国则是更主张自由平等，上级与下级之间也没有强烈的等级意识。
电影中，男主角与他的老板之间既是上下级关系又是很好的朋友，而在中国自己与自己的老板是很好的朋友关系的情况却是很少。
这就体现了中美的不同。
这部电影让我更加认识到了中美之间的文化差异，同时也让我知道了自己专业的重要性。

美国，身不由己“人在美国，身不由己是我在看完被圈内人士的影片之后的感受。
伴随着画面的推进，故事的演绎，一个美国社会的华人家庭遭遇跃然眼前。
以细节为支点从艺术角度来看，不难看出。
导演充分发挥的是电影的叙事潜能，而不是情节的着意安排。
中美之间的文化差异，在一个个细节中被地凸现出来。
这些细节通过人物的面部表情、目光、对话、动作等来完成。
支撑起整个影片的框架。
在影片开始，许大同设计的游戏软件获奖，他激动地告诉大家：“我爱美国，我的美国梦终于实现
”颁奖大厅外挤满了指责电脑游戏过于暴力的示威群众；昆兰的儿子和许大同的儿子丹尼斯发生矛盾并且不肯道歉，许大同当众打了丹尼斯一巴掌；在接父亲从警察局回来时进入公寓，警卫怀疑地看了他们一眼。
这一切，都在后来的听证会上成为了对大同不利的证据。
许大同在美国拼搏了八年，美国给了他成功和荣耀。
然而，在中国很传统的中医刮痧疗法却迅速把他推向了美国的对立面。
使他想和家人一起回国，去过“安宁平静的生活。
”这种改变看起来是中西方文化的冲突，实际上是反映出了一个更值得重视的问题：文化反省。
中国人把孩子当成私有财产，可以通过打丹尼斯来表示对老板昆兰的尊重，而昆兰却不能理解中国人的这种“乱七八糟的逻辑。
”而美国人，他们把孩子当成了社会财富，在误以为刮痧是虐待行为之后，果断地进行了孩子与父母的隔离，并不断取证。
其目的还是为了保证孩子免受伤害。
以亲情为切入美国人在看完这部影片后，讨论最多的当数具有中国情调的父子之情。
在大同和父亲、大同和丹尼斯这两对父子之间都刻画出较为深刻的感情关系。
在法庭上，为了不妨碍父亲办绿卡，大同谎承刮痧乃自己所为；为了不让父亲担心，他和妻子一起隐瞒真相；为了给儿子圣诞礼物，不惜冒着生命危险爬上九楼。
片中机场那场戏颇为精彩，泪眼送别之际，想出去福利局“偷”来儿子一同回国的冒险行为。
当祖孙三代激情相拥之时，其父却冷静地说服了儿子留下。
在送丹尼斯回福利局的路上，大同和紧追而来警车玩起了游戏，只为了让儿子多享受片刻的父爱。
而在租住的小屋，分居的简宁和大同醉酒，骂自己是MOTHERFUCKER 这场戏，更是赤裸裸地揭露了他们内心的痛苦，而这种痛苦，仅仅是因为刮痧这一在中国极为普遍的中医疗法，在美国，却导致了一个家庭的分崩离析。
我们不难感受到融于片中的浓浓亲情，然而，大同的错误却是虐待儿子。
这个罪名简直匪夷所思，它反映出美国不以事实说话的法律空挡。
而那控方雇佣的美国律师在法庭上这样描述中的：“别人种了九千年的桃子，他不跟主人打一声招呼摘来便吃，当人家制止时，他不但不听劝阻，而且还大打出手毁了人家的桃园。
别人辛辛苦苦炼好的丹丸，他拿来就吃，还把主人打得头破血流，临走还毁了人家的制作车间——象这样一个野蛮顽劣的猴子，竟然被许大同在电子游戏中描绘成英雄 ......”，用以证明的许大同有。

在开化的中国成长起来，浸淫着欧风美雨，他们无需身负太多传统价值的行囊，也无需接受太多西方人讶异打量的目光洗礼，无缘品尝在异乡为了融入而蜕变的痛苦滋味。
电影在我看来，密布着这种痛苦。
主人公许大同，新移民，来美国八年，怀揣美国梦埋头苦干，作为一个电子游戏程序的设计者终获成功，并得到上司（象征美国主流文化阶层）的认可和友谊。
电影开场便是大同在业界庆祝会上以典型的美国口吻发表。
从他说话的内容，语气，可以看出他对美国是爱慕感激的，对自己在美国的未来充满信心。
在美国，只要努力，一定会出头。
大同认为自己依然是这个国家的一份子，不再为异乡异客。
他和妻子简宁，儿子丹尼斯在家也坚持说英文，即便一点不懂英文的老父在场也不例外，为的是让下一代顺利进入私立学校，早日成为美国社会的精英。
他们言谈接物也和普通美国中产阶级一样，彬彬有礼，说一样的情话，开一样的玩笑。
然而考验却接踵而至。
大同把父亲接来美国同住，丹尼斯却因背上凸显爷爷刮痧留下的醒目瘀红。
这些在美国人看来触目惊心的“伤痕”，对中国人来说只是家喻户晓的自我疗法。
许大同不幸背上虐子的罪名，不得与孩子相见。
可他无法向法庭证明刮痧是合法的医疗手段，因为美国没有时间和兴趣去慢慢了解地球另一面的文化根源，它只按自己的判断行事。
在向当局要回孩子的讼争中，一个个矛盾像串鞭炮快速爆炸，留下的硝烟和纸屑，就是那些所谓的文化差异，还有美国式的自我中心，强硬的傲慢。
它们逼得大同承认，骨子里还是中国人。
比如，丹尼斯在游戏中兴起打了上司的孩子，大同要求儿子道歉未果，出于教育孩子，也由于在老板及其家人面前无法下台，便打了儿子。
他认为这是给老板面子，是尊重朋友，是教子有方。
爷爷见了也很赞同：“当面教子，背后教妻”“打是亲，骂是爱，不打不骂不成材”。
而美国人（包括在美国长大的丹尼斯）斩钉截铁的坚持：打孩子的父亲是恶魔，为尊重他人却要打骂孩子的父亲更是不可理喻。
另外，作为技术精英的大同，也许没太多机会充分接触真实的社会，以至于在后来的讼争中出于劣势。
他不熟悉法律程序（即游戏规则），不能提供有力证据，不肯请家庭法的专业律师而坚持请一个版权法律师，他信任的朋友来代理孩子的案件，为自己辩护。
对方律师精于此道，指责大同有----大同设计的电玩英雄，偷仙桃，毁丹炉，按照西方人的价值观，就是无视职责，肆意侵犯私有财产，是典型的流氓行径。
这个精刮刮的律师为了赢官司，刻意对断章取义，恶意误读，把反抗的英雄说成无赖。
大同不知对方已设计好陷阱要激怒他，果然失去理智，同时也失去大好机会，落入下风…… 尽管八个春秋能让人学会很多，尽管电影的结局是云开月明，翻盘大圆满，异乡游子的血脉亲情却遭受他者的质疑，身份认同也大受打击，我怎么都觉得不是滋味。
《刮痧》一部优秀的电影作品，故事情节至真至纯，让人感念，催人泪下。

《刮痧》所表现的中国人和美国人的差异，不仅在中美两国的法律、道德标准等方面，而且触及法理、观念，甚至中医理论等诸多议题。
由于时空上的差异，造成了中美—东西方文化、观念上的不同，进而表现为行为上的冲突。
差异性从时间上来说，主要表现为国家的传统与现代之间的矛盾；从空间上来说，由于各国在地域、历史、政治、经济等方面的原因造成了中西方的差异，表现为民族传统精神背景、文化背景、哲学背景等方面。
所以，在分析影片时，我们不能仅仅停留在具体的故事情节方面，而要从大的文化背景下，从历史的传统等方面进行分析。
我们先来从文化的渊源方面来看，首先，中西方在哲学观上是不同的，西方崇尚理性主义的实证论，它的医学——解剖学，也是建立在这种哲学思想上，所以对“刮痧”这种口耳相传的经气之学是不能理解的；而中国哲学的特点是“天人合一”，就是要探索自然与人类的关系问题。
儒家重人文道德，教人如何做人；道家重宇宙的演化，教人适应自然。
在影片中我们可以看到，法庭上，当许大同给他们讲述“刮痧”的原理时，在场的美国人的表现，法官听不懂他的辩词，以为他是在乱讲，甚至于他的辩护律师都不能在这方面理解他。
其次，在意识方面，中国看重的是群体意识，重视整体的价值，认为人应该为家庭社会做贡献；而西方强调的是个人主义，追求个人自由、自由思考和选择。

中国人是相当重视家庭伦理的，他们重视每个人在家庭社会中的位置，强调家的观念与感情。
西方文化由于一直尊重个人的观念，他们从小就接受了“独立精神”教育，和家庭的感情较为淡薄。
美国父母相当尊重孩子的行动自由，在大原则的范围内，任子女自由发展。
再次，中国人的思维模式是综合的，承认整体和事物间的普遍联系，追求人与自然的完美统一。
而西方的思维模式是分析式的，这种思维文化群体的形成较为正式，权利、责任及身份的分配井然有序。
所以，对中国人来说，美国思维似乎冷漠、不讲人情；而西方人认为中国人思维模糊不清。
我们再来看观念文化方面的差异，它是深层次的文化差异，比如人的价值观念、思维方式、社会心态、审美观念等。
一个人可以在另一种文化中生活很长时间，掌握其语言，了解其习俗，但可能不理解其价值观中的某些部分，许大同就是活生生的一个例子。
因为在深层文化上，许大同代表的仍是中国的传统文化，这具体体现在处事观、家庭观、朋友观等方面。
在处事观方面，美国人喜欢面对事实，表明自己的观点,，并掌握可靠的信息。
由此我们可以看出美国人处理问题以事实为基础,就事论事。
而中国人在事实面前，人情似乎显得更重要些。
在影片中，我们可以看到法庭上儿童福利局所列出的一个个证据，请出的一个个证人是多么的具有说服力，虽然在中国人看来觉得有些不可思议；而许大同所叙述的只是他如何如何爱自己的儿子，却没有有力的证据；影片中还有一个细节，就是两个孩子打架，许大同当着昆兰的面打了孩子一巴掌，后来他对昆兰说：“我打孩子是为了表示对你的尊重，是给你面子。
”这儿就牵扯着东西方对孩子的态度问题。
中国人把孩子当作一个私有财产，是我生的就属于我。
虽然许大同认为打孩子是给朋友的尊重，但在昆兰看来，打人是犯法的，无论打的是谁。
美国人认为父母、子女是平等的，父母很少为孩子决定什么事情，而是让其依靠自己的力量去奋斗。
在朋友观方面，东西方文化中也包含着不同的意义。
Edward Stewad&Milton Bennet这样论述美国人的朋友关系:“虽然美国人保持许多友好的非正式关系,但是他们极少有那种很深而又维系多年的关系。
理想的境界是美国式的友谊,建立在自然发生、相互吸引以及温馨的个人感情的基础上。
人们选择自己的朋友,同时,他们又把朋友关系与社会或工作义务分开。
” 在中国,情形有所不同。
交朋友讲究的是时间愈长愈好,承担的义务愈多愈好。
理想的境界是为朋友两肋插刀,赴汤蹈火在所不辞。
中国人对于朋友的期望值很高,若有困难,应该倾囊相助。
当昆兰指证许大同打过孩子时,许大同指责昆兰“我一直把你当朋友,但你却在法庭上出卖我!”而昆兰感到很委屈和不解:“我只是实话实说而已。
”诚信是美国人最基本的美德之一,你让一个美国人撒谎也相当于让他放弃基本的价值观。
影片在表现中美差异的同时，也表达了对文化趋同、文化融合的一种向往。
从昆兰走过唐人街的瓷器店，亲身尝试“刮痧”中；从许大同摆脱险情，楼下警察、居民爆发出雷鸣般的掌声中，从他爬上九楼的家，昆兰一家和儿童福利院的领导向他祝贺圣快乐，欢迎回家中，观众好象看到了西方人传过了中西文化的壁垒，开始接近中国的传统文化，最终还是人间的真情战胜了一切。
故事的结局固然完美，但是也决不能忽视文化差异性的一面，这就要求我们加强交流和沟通，希望在不久的将来，一个“大同”的世界真的会出现在我们面前

Gua Sha is a movie about the differences between American and Chinese culture. Xu datong is a video games designer in St. Louis. When his father visits from China, he performs Gua Sha (a Chinese traditional treatment) on his grandson, which leaves bright red marks on the skin and causes a lawsuit of child abuse. In the court, Datong loses his mind so that finally he loses custody of his son. I think this scene is shocking and thought-provoking to most of the Chinese audiences. But the most impressing scene to me is the ending. Datong wants to see his son in Christmas eve, he has to climb a pipe to the ninth floor which his son lives. I think the pipe is not only a pipe, but also a gap, a deep gap between American and 5000-year Chinese culture. He wants to climb over the gap and he will never succeed, perhaps no Chinese people really could succeed.

《刮痧》观后感
论中外文化差异—刮痧后感 这几天看了一部电影《刮痧》，感触片《刮痧》向我们展示了华人在美国由于法律制度和社会习惯等的不同而产生的一系列冲突。
充分体现了中外文化的巨大差异，以下是我观看完影片后的一点感受。
中国人和美国的社会，当这两者组合在一起的时候本身就有一种矛盾效果，中国人应该存在于美国社会，美国社会应该容纳的是美国人。
而当中国人进入到美国社会后会发生什么呢
影片刮痧就向我们阐述了这样的一个故事。
影片一开始是一场颁奖典礼，在礼堂的外面聚集了一批游行示威者在进行示威游行，用大同的老板约翰的话说就是“宪法规定的那一套言论自由”。
他们反对暴力游戏，所以也抵制这个以游戏为主元素的颁奖典礼。
在这里中外文化的矛盾就已经产生了：在美国这种游行非常普遍，只要人们对某件事情不满就可以上街游行，人们反对总统某项决议的游行也不在少数；但在中国游行的情况是很少的，游行可以与暴力划上等号，更不要说去反对党和国家的决策了。
颁奖典礼的大奖被男主角许大同拿到了，他是一位来美国已经八年的移民。
在礼堂内，中外文化矛盾又爆发了，大同的儿子丹尼斯打了约翰的儿子，大同于是就当着约翰的面打了丹尼斯。
这是中国式的“当面教子，背后教妻”，也是中国式的要给老板面子。

中美两国在家庭教育上存在显著差异，如在家庭成员的相互关系上，我国家长大多处于统治地位，而美国家长更注重与孩子平等相处;在育儿观上，中国家长大都希望孩子能出人头地，而美国家长更看重提高孩子的生存适应能力；在教育方式上，中国家长喜欢包办替代，而美国家长更愿意让孩子自己动手实践，这些差异导致了两国儿童成人后在生存适应能力上的明显差距。
正确认识并借鉴国外先进的教育方法，对促进孩子健康成长、提高未来人才的素质具有很重要的现实意义。
[关键词] 家庭教育；育儿观；传统；素质教育 家庭教育指的是在家庭互动过程中父母对子女的成长发展所产生的教育影响，也是全社会各个教育环节中最重要的一环。
中美两国由于在文化传统、观念意识、生活方式以及社会习俗等方面存在诸多不同之处，导致了两国在家庭教育方面也存在着很多差异，正确认识和了解两国之间的这种差异，对于促进我国当代家庭教育的良性发展有着十分重要的指导作用和现实意义。
看过这部影片的观众一定会注意到其中一个场景：一位中国父亲在看到自己儿子丹尼斯与他的外国老板的儿子打架时，让丹尼斯向老板的儿子道歉，遭到拒绝后给了自己儿子一个耳光。
这位父亲这样做是出于对他老板的尊敬，隐含的意思就是“因为你的缘故我才惩罚我的儿子”。
但这一幕却让他的老板感到特别吃惊，很迷惑为什么一个父亲要通过打自己的儿子来表示对别人的歉意?这就是中美两国在家庭教育上存在着的一个明显差异。

美国家庭则更重视孩子们的自主权，让孩子学会在社会允许的条件下自己做决定，独立解决自己所遇到的各种问题。
其差异大致可归纳为以下几点： 一、两种不同的家庭成员关系 我国当代家庭教育受传统的家庭观念影响，家长总是意味着权威，作为统治者在家庭中处于核心地位。
孩子在父母眼里永远是长不大的，父母对孩子的教导可以持续到孩子长大以后许多年。
另外，在中国人的逻辑中有这么一条，即“长者恒为师”，在家庭中，年长者一定可以教育年幼者，这就在家庭内部形成一种人际关系的不平等，儿童也由此学会了对不同的人说不同的话，懂得了父母比朋友重要，长者是权威的象征。
长期处于这种环境下，孩子慢慢习惯了在多重规则下生活。
然而随着物质生活水平的提高和计划生育政策的执行，许多家庭走向另一个极端，让孩子在家庭中处于特殊地位并加以重点保护，孩子成了中心人。
对孩子采取百依百顺的态度，好吃的让孩子独享，该让孩子做的却由父母包办代替了。
他们过分满足孩子的任何需要，生活上过分优待孩子，经济上过多偏重孩子，这就造成家庭关系的另一种不平等。
而在美国家庭，家长更注重自由与平等的相处。
从小就尊重孩子，重视给孩子的个人自主权，让孩子学会在社会允许的条件下自己做决定，独立解决自己所遇到的各种问题。
他们把孩子当做一个独立的个体平等对待，给孩子应有的尊重和理解。
孩子在父母面前可以畅所欲言地发表自己的见解，所言有独到之处，父母还会给以适当的奖励。
孩子有独立的时间和空间去自由的想像或进行创造性活动。
二、两种不同的育儿观 往往着眼于孩子将来是否有出息，能否找个好职业，能否在顺境中度过一生。
基于这种期盼，很多家长认为，父母对孩子的责任就是让他们生活得更好，父母能给他们多少幸福就给他们多少幸福。
若能给孩子创造最优越的生活条件，再苦再累也愿意。
为此，父母在孩子成长过程中，除了生活上进行无微不至的照顾，还特别关心孩子的智商，为了能让孩子成凤，除了学习，什么都不让孩子干。
至于孩子的独立生活能力、对未来生活的适应能力，以及等却很少考虑，认为孩子只要成绩好，什么问题都能解决。
[2]与此相比，美国家庭的育儿观有很大不同，他们的着眼点在于培养孩子具有适应各种环境和独立生存的能力。
基于这种观念，他们十分重视孩子的自身锻炼。
他们普遍认为孩子的成长必须依靠自身的力量。
因此从小就注重培养锻炼他们的自立意识和独立生活能力。
所谓锻炼是多方面的，诸如劳动锻炼、意志的锻炼等。
但最根本的是适应各种艰苦环境和劳动能力的锻炼。
通过劳动，让孩子从小养成独立自主的意识和热爱劳动的习惯。
在劳动和艰苦的环境中去克服困难、磨炼意志、发展自身的能力特长，增长才智，并养成刻苦、节俭的好品质。
在这种潜移默化的过程中，随着年龄的增长逐渐促其成为具有独立生存能力和社会责任感的公民。
三、两种不同的教育方式 由于育儿观上存在着根本差别，使两国在教育孩子的方式上也有很大的不同。
中国方面大致体现在以下几点： 1.生活上的包办代替。
中国家长尤其是独生子女的家长，在生活上对孩子的衣食住行包办代替，不让孩子沾家务活的边。
这种包办横向涉及孩子的方方面面，纵向延伸到孩子长大成人。
于是出现了小学生还要家长接送，中学生还要家长洗衣服，大学新生入学还要家长护送。
2.社交上的过度保护。
不少家长怕孩子吃亏或学坏，于是限制孩子与外界的接触，一旦孩子与小朋友或同学之间发生争执或不愉快的事情，多数家长采取袒护自己孩子而指责其他孩子的办法。
3.经济上的放任。
不少家长对孩子的要求百依百顺，有求必应，连经济拮据的家庭，家长也要勒紧裤带省下钱来满足孩子的需求。
不少小学生都拥有手机、、MP3等高档消费品，这无形中助长了他们奢华浪费的习惯。
4.学习上的过于严厉。
与生活、经济、社交上的纵容相比，家长对孩子的学习却要求很高，甚至达到一种苛刻的程度。
古往今来，一直深深桎梏着中国家长们的思想，导致家长们把孩子的学习成绩与能否考取高等学府视为孩子成材的惟一标准。
当孩子出生后就以天才的标准来要求、教育孩子。
[3]平时，孩子在做完老师布置的作业后又让孩子再做一套同步练习题，以求巩固。
弄得孩子精疲力尽，一旦孩子辜负了他们的期望，那只能通过打骂这一招来解“恨铁不成钢”之怒。
而美国家长从锻炼孩子独立生活能力的角度出发，对孩子的教养采取放手而不放任的方法进行。
所谓放手，就是从孩子生下来，父母就设法给他们自我锻炼的机会和条件，让他们在各种环境中得到充分锻炼。
父母除了照管孩子的安全，其他生活上的事，如游玩、学习都让孩子自主选择。
如让他们从小就有存放个人衣服、玩具和的地方，自己收拾整理房间，布置属于他们自己的小天地，父母决不替孩子包办，顶多在一旁提醒参谋。
[4]所谓不放任，一般反映在三个方面：第一，宁苦而不娇。
家长特别注重培养孩子的吃苦精神。
第二，家富而不奢。
美国许多家庭，对孩子的零花钱都有严格的要求和规定。
基本原则是：定期发给，数额多少根据孩子的年龄和家庭收入的实际情况而定。
第三，严教而不袒。
西方人对孩子的缺点错误绝不听之任之，更不袒护，而是设法教孩子自己知错改错。
此外，美国家长大都对孩子的学习不施加太多压力。
他们的观点是：孩子对感兴趣的知识自然会努力去学，为什么要强制他们去做本不愿做的事情呢?强拗着去做，反而会伤害孩子的感情与个性。
人的兴趣、爱好和才能本来就各不相同，孩子适合做什么就做什么，人生道路要让孩子自己去走。
成功的家庭教育，应该是家长拿出时间跟孩子以平等的态度进行沟通、交流，对孩子正确的想法和行为给予充分肯定，让孩子在尊重和鼓励中成长。
四、两种不同的教育结果 由于育儿观和教育方法的不同，其教育结果也表现出明显不同。
美国孩子从小就表现出很强的独立生活能力，这体现在：(1)具有很强的自立能力。
绝大多数18岁以上的孩子，都靠自己挣钱来读书。
有的人把钱赚够了才进学校读书，也有人一边打工、一边读书，或读读停停，花十几年时间拿个博士学位。
孩子们认为，长这么大还伸手向父母要钱很不光彩，会被人家瞧不起，让人觉得无能。
所以必须工作，才能做到经济上独立。
(2)具有适应市场经济的头脑。
美国不少家庭的孩子，从小就参与当家理财，通过亲身体验使他们深知金钱来之不易，从而养成精打细算、勤俭度日的好习惯。
(3)具有适应社会环境的本领。
由于从小的艰苦磨炼，美国孩子更能吃苦，具有战胜困难的勇气和毅力；遇事镇定沉着，能与周围人们和谐相处，有作为社会成员而独立存在的信心和勇气。
这些素质和技能，为他们将来走向社会奠定了坚实的基础。
与此相反，中国的儿童、青少年乃至大学生，虽然学业成绩上不亚于西方，但普遍表现出独立生活能力差，缺乏自主意识，依赖性强，做事被动胆怯，缺乏对环境的适应和；不懂得人际交往的技巧，人际关系差；怕苦怕累，只要求别人照顾，却缺乏同情心和帮助别人的能力；在家不懂得尊敬自己的长辈，在外缺乏社会责任感。
综上不难看出，不同的家庭成员关系、育儿观和教育方法产生了两种截然不同的教育结果，孰优孰劣非常清楚。
要提高未来我国在国际上的竞争力，关键在于提高人才的质量和素质，这就必须从家庭教育做起。
因为家庭教育是整个学校教育(包括学前教育)和的基础，它是学校教育和无法取代的。
我国的家庭教育受几千年封建传统的影响，无论从家长的价值观、育儿观看，还是从家庭教育内容、方式和方法看，儒家思想影响至深。
然而随着中国的改革开放，社会结构的变化，家庭教育中某些传统观念、手段及方法已无法适应当代中国的家庭教育。
因此我们应该在弘扬中华民族几千年灿烂文明的辉煌结晶的同时，也吸取西方国家的民主、开放的家庭教育观。
自觉转变家庭教育中的落后观念，扩展家庭教育的领域，丰富家庭教育的内容，改善教育的手段、途径和方法，熔铸古今，汇通中西，我们才能造就出非凡的下一代。

老父亲是爱他的孙子的，他孙子生病了老父亲给他刮痧，在背上留下的痕迹却被人认为是这孩子受了虐待，这是美国人不懂得刮痧是什么造成的；对待孩子的问题上，中国人将孩子当做是自己的私人财产，可以随时对孩子进行管教，但在美国，孩子却被当成是社会财产，一旦孩子受了伤害，孩子的父母就会被剥夺抚养权，由儿童福利中心进行养育，在大同的颁奖会上，他的儿子打了他老板的儿子，大同让他儿子道歉，但他却不道歉，大同打了一下他儿子的头，大同认为这是对他老板的尊重，当然，中国人大多都是这样，在不分三七二十一先打了自己的孩子再说，这表示自己没有教养好，打孩子是对别人的尊重，但美国人却不这么认为，他的老板看到大同打他儿子表示很惊讶，并且认为教养孩子跟尊重他人没有关系。
大同为了给他的父亲办绿卡，在听证会上说了是他给他的儿子刮痧的，老父亲知道了这件事后，他自己一个人到了大同老板昆兰的家里，跟他讲了是他刮痧的，而不是大同，昆兰问简宁为什么大同要说是他刮痧的，简宁回了他一句：因为他是中国人。
