The Giveralso made me think, thnik about what is the true life, and what isthe real society. In this story, the main character, little Jonaswho is only 12 years old, will be a Giver in his world. His worldis a perfect place for writer. A world is no fight, neednt worrywhat kind of tomorrow will be, even they never worry about death,ill and somethink unknow. When Im reading, I have a feeling, itsjealousy, and unfair. Why they can live that happy? But I waswrong, the truth is its not a world, not a life, they even not tobe a human being, they cant be their self. They cant hear music,cant see color. And all those thing need to be accepted. When Ifinish The Giver, I feel some thing lose in the books world, theylose choice, already jobs, already children, also the alreadylife. I think the only reason Jonas will run a way is this world isno love, all people live in indifferent.I think the society in thebook its not the freedom world. They might need some change, likeJonas, the main character. Storys start is about a harmonious society,they assigning jobs to each person by a evaluation of their skill,each family made by matching up husbands and wives by personality,they can balance each other, and only can havetwo children, one girl and one boy. In the story, it is also tellthat there is a surveillance system that can monitors the entiresociety. Bicycles is the only transportation; Except some of carsand airplanes for the main use of transporting food. But when time progresses in the story, thissocietys cruel become clearly and clearly. The society has losttheideas of family and love, and nature. Most ofanimal was gone(or be killed). Here is no river and fish.The story is arondRelease,but what is Release? The people in thestory think Release is just change a city to live, and another cityis also a world like the world which they are living. Its not thetruth, actually Release is euthanasia. The rule of this society isWrong thing can be happen one or two times, everybody will forgiveyou if you apologize, but if you get the third time same wrong, youwill be Release.. Here has two other reason to be Release,fristyou are old man, second, if twin are born byBirthmothers, the light one will be Release. Jonas will be the Giver, the Giver is the most important person inthe community. He can experience pain, love, and sees color, whileno one else can. The giver has a huge memory system in his mind, itsave the world before assimilation of all thing which havehappened. When something happen, the leader will ask Giver to findthe way to solve. But Giver must brought bear the pain of memory,most of people cant bear it. Jonas do it, he find a new world formthe memory, and want to be the world in memory,want to change theworld he has,The end of thestoryis unclearly and unknow, we even dont knowis the end good or bad. The cold temprature give Jonas andGabriels future dangerous. [《The wizard of Oz》读后感]《The wizard of Oz》Book ReportI have been read 《The wizard of Oz》for a week. It is too attractive to put it down.Just yesterday, I finished it.The wizard of oz was really a wonderful novel. It broughtme into the wonderland of the fairy tale. It said a story likethis: Dorothy lived in Kansas with her Uncle Henry, Aunt Em and a little dog called Toto.One day a cyclone blows Dorothy and her dog Toto in it, to astrange place called Oz. In this way, Dorothy began her adventure,it was quite an experience. There were four witches and a veryfamous wizard——the Wizard of Oz in Oz. She wanted to get back tohome so she got on the way to the wizard of Oz. On the road, sheencountered the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion andthey were in need of help, so they all took the yellow brick roadto the Emerald City. On the way to the Emerald City they met somedifficulties, but they solved them successfully. When they gotthere and met the Wizard of oz, they got a task——kill a bad witch,but they accept. When they went back to the Emerald City, theyfound the Wizard of Oz is Dorothy’s villager and he is just aconjurer. When the balloon to their hometown is going to set up,they did not get on it. They find the Witch of the South and foundthe way home. Dorothy went back to her hometown.I do admire Dorothy for her courage, she didn’t know thedetail of the witch, but she went there and killed her at last.Maybe God blessed her from danger. I learn from her that no matterwhat difficulties we are facing, we shouldn’t move back. On theother hand, one good return deserves another. Dorothy helped thepeople of Oz, so she got the magic shoes and hat and managed to goback to Kansas.‘East, west—home is the best!’ That is true. Whatever what is the view outside, how beautiful is it, breast is important. Dorothy thirsted for going hometown, though Kansas has no trees, no green hills, no gardens, but it’s her hometown. “HOME” What a warm ward! There are our parents here; there are also our favorite things here. At home, we feel safe, we feel comfortable, and we can relax ourselves. No matter where we are, home is always the best place for us. During our life, maybe you always complain that you do not have enough wisdom, braveness, sensibility, but consider calmly, it is that true? In fact, they are always getting by exercises; you can gain them when you try to solve the trouble by yourself. In the story, the Scarecrow wanted some brains, but on the way to the Emerald City, he thought out of a way to cross the river; the Cowardly Lion wanted to be brave, but when they met the river, he carried other friends to jump across it; and the Tin Man wanted a heart, he said he could not love, but he did not want to hurt any animal. Of course you know they all have the things they want on: the Scarecrow is clever, the Cowardly Lion is brave and the Tin Man is kind-hearted. All of them are in your heart, if you believe it, you will find they are always being. When we are in trouble, we should calm down, watch the things around carefully, and try to think out of a way to solve it, just like the Scarecrow. We also should be brave as we are in danger, we can’t be afraid, we should face the difficulty and try to go through it, just like the Cowardly Lion. And we should learn to love people, to feel sorry for people, to make more friends, to get on well with everyone around us, just like the Tin Man.
