1、生命在他里头，这生命就是人的光。

后来人们用doubting Thomas指那些不肯轻易相信别人的人。

4． feet of clay （泥足、致命的弱点） 典出《圣经·旧约·但以理书》第2章。
巴比伦国王尼布甲尼撒（Nebuchadnezzar）梦到一泥足巨人，头是金的，胸臂是银的，腹股是铜的，被飞来的一块巨石砸碎了脚，整个巨人顿时瓦解。
希伯来先知但以理释梦称这预示着国家要分裂。
