During this winter vacation I had the opportunity to read the book Gone with the Wind. It is a great novel written by American author Margaret Michell in the 1930s. It’s a story about southern living in the US during the Civil War. The story depicts the raise and fall of several wealthy families who owned plantations and slavers in Georgia, their love affairs and their pride as the well-to-do southerners. I especially like Scarlett O’Hara, who was a b-willed southern woman. She was brought up in a rich family who owned many slaves and a large plantation. However, as the Yankee army from the Union marching down the South, the southerners lost their cause. O’Hara’s plantation was eventually destroyed by the war. But as a b woman, she refused to go hungry. I was especially touched by the words she said in the final chapter of the book, with great hope, tomorrow is another day.

I was sure to be left deep impression by the film The Ron Clark Story. That"s just what a good teacher should be like. From it, we can get something like follows.
Everyone is born with his or her kindness. That maybe the main reason for Mr. Clark"s student"s changing their minds. Together with Mr. Clark"s creation and his encouragements to his students, he gets to be successful.
Mr. Clark knows clearly that the children are all very kind in their heart bottoms. Then he tries to use his true love and expectations for them t make them moved. We all know that one"s habits or minds are quite difficult to change. Although during it Mr. Clark also feels depressed, things get to be better after his perseverance.
Then, Mr. Clark hasn"t been limited in the traditional way of teaching. He combines the history events with rap, which was so popular in the children. And the effect is so obvious. The children can remember them easily.
Besides, the children get to be more confident because of his encouragement. Once one has been confident, his or her potential ability comes out easily. Then they are sure to do a good job. That"s just what they do in their exam.
In my point of view, Mr. Clark"s true love, perseverance, creation and encouragements bring him his success. And it seems that sure of them are true of many other thins.
However, happiness didn’t last for long. When M. Duval, Armand's father, came to her, pleading for her to leave Armand to save both Armand's reputation and that of his younger innocent sister, Marguerite saw a way to become pure of heart, if not in body. She felt that it was her duty, because she loved Armand so much, to do this even though it meant giving up her own happiness and hurting Armand temporarily. She reluctantly returned to her former life, knowing that some day Armand would forgive her. Sadly, she died in debt and basically alone, except for her one female friend, Julie Duprat, who helped her during her illness. She had her journal sent to Armand after her death, explaining why she had made the choices she had. I think Dumas's last few lines about Marguerite being the exception, not the rule were quite true, and I also agreed with his view that while her lifestyle could not be condoned, we as a society assume that all of these type of women are cold and heartless, while this may not always be the case. A person can make the wrong choices in life when they are young, and try to redeem themselves

I read a famous American writer Ernest Hemingway's novel "the old man and the sea", very admire kept the will of the novel, he let me know how a man must have perseverance, can succeed. The man is a novel depicts a near the old fisherman, in a single out to sea fishing, caught a big fish, but pull not up. The old fisherman al with fish after a few days, found that this is a more than his several times as big marlin fishing boats, although knowing is hard to win, but still don't give up. Later and because the big marlin wound fish smell drew a few group of sharks rob food, but the old man still would not so give up, eventually beckoning, the big fish back to the fishing port, let the other fishermen.

I just finished the novel and I learnt so much form the four girls.Life is short and bitter,but hope is the only remedy.
We can get through everything with love.To form a good character,just learn form the four girls:Meg's being a good wife,Jo's independence,Beth's tranquility and Amy's longing to be a fair lady.
Little woman" is an autobiography novel properties with the family, the author is American Alcott.
This book was written in four different character marches through their own kind of girl, hardworking and found myself happy story. Novels have dropped the ups and downs of the rock, no fascinating plot of suspense, but the author use si-mp-le language describes marge's family love.
Their kindness, love and affection loyalty to deeply touched me. The author describes the details of life is very ordinary, but everywhere to love, reveal the longing for a better life.

i read the book written by luxun .it is called zhaohuaxishi. it includes 10 short articles about the writers stories .they are based on his own experience , when i read this book ,i feel very happy to see luxuns childhood. it was diffrent from ours,so we may find it intersting and exciting. luxuns langange is very great but maybe difficult to understand . but through his words ,we can find his happiness in his heart .(.)
