，讲述了一个发生在1870年的巴黎的故事。

一个似的苦命人游荡在迷宫般的地下室中。

年少的不幸让人们同情他的身世，但丑陋的面容更使人们对他恐惧与排斥，不知道他来了歌剧院多少年，但他安于成为人们心中的魔鬼，成为歌剧院的幽灵。

这幕音乐剧，便是讲述这个剧院魅影的传奇故事。

一出悲喜剧在这场音乐剧中，有人只出现短短的一瞬，便消逝了。

有的人却经历物是人非的变迁，依然健在。

有的人咆哮命运的不公、向社会报复，有的人享受贵族的荣耀与幸福，安享生活。

沉陷于爱情的泥沼，或者。

所有的一切，都发生在的剧场内。

这是一幕爱恨交织的悲喜剧。

结局出人意料，却也是皆大欢喜。

漂泊四方，在任何地方都成为别人猎奇的目标，甚至成为马戏团铁笼中的小丑。

…… 喜爱“魅影”这个角色，因为他虽然容貌丑陋，但这掩盖不住他那与生俱来的，遮蔽不了他出众的才华，也无法抑止他对爱的追求。

他爱，一个里看上去默默无闻的舞者。

“魅影”为她创作优美的音乐、华丽的歌剧、教导她歌唱、训练她的舞姿。

帮助她成为一个令整个巴黎倾倒的女神。

“魅影”以为就是他的，或者说是因为他向她倾注了所有的热情。

她代表了他所有的理性（对音乐的热爱）与非理性（对爱的痴狂）的追求。

当与拉乌尔在巴黎歌剧院的楼顶海誓山盟的时候，魅影的心碎了。

再次感到无依无靠、被抛弃。

凄厉的呼喊响彻巴黎的夜空，却仍然无法的安排。

他并不想复仇，或者说，他也知道自己无力改变现实世界中的一切，所以他才会使用偷梁换柱的手法，杀死皮昂吉，把自己扮演成唐璜，成为他为克里斯汀创作的歌剧中的角色，在厚厚的披风下掩饰自己的面容，在警察遍布的巴黎歌剧院中，在舞台上与他心中的爱人上演这幕绝唱。

希望在他自己创造的世界中，成为爱的主宰。

也许，他知道，在现实上演的悲喜剧中，他必须死。

他带走了克里斯汀，然而，他真的是为了占有她、霸占她吗

因为当克里斯汀不在乎他的容貌，给他深情的一吻时，他颤抖了。

我甚至能感觉到那副“怪兽”似的脸上在流泪。

这是一种幸福的感觉，一种常人难以体味的幸福。

他并不残忍，也不缺同情心，他需要的是他人的尊重，所爱的人对他的尊重。

他可以放弃克里斯汀，让她与拉乌尔远走高飞。

或者说，歌剧在对他们两人爱情的刻画上多少显得有些单薄。

让人感到只是一个灰姑娘遇见王子的梦幻。

甚至让人以为，克里斯汀因为拉乌尔贵族的身份和财富才跟他在一起的。

而拉乌尔和克里斯汀后来怎样呢

无从得知。

更不知道她是否还记得那个拥有丑陋却极富才华的魅影。

一种令人心醉的美丽华丽的服饰、精致的布景、变幻莫测的舞台，再加上专业的演员。

使得这幕来自，后又在百老汇等地上演的音乐剧显得如此美丽。

从演出开始，巴黎歌剧院的拍卖会上展示第663件拍品的时候，就感觉自己仿佛来到了1919年的巴黎。

昏暗的拍卖会现场、的拉乌尔，落满灰尘的海报，有些机械失灵的铙钹，倾覆的吊灯，让人情不自禁的投入其中。

倏的一下时空倒转，40年前的巴黎歌剧院一片金碧辉煌。

《汉尼拔》的排演，有些耍大牌的皮昂吉腆着肚子在演唱。

灯光照得他将军的盔甲闪闪发亮。

只有惊叹的份。

…… 当场景转移到歌剧院的地下湖时，干冰营造出梦幻般的效果。

小舟在湖面穿行。

魅影此时仿佛变成驾驶贡多拉的船工，引领着克里斯汀来到他的宫殿。

当拉乌尔与克里斯汀为了避开魅影，来到歌剧院楼顶的时候，背景墙上显现的是19世纪巴黎的迷人夜景。

街巷里闪烁的烛光与满天繁星呼应。

仿佛在星河中徘徊。

克里斯汀来到她父亲的墓前倾诉心声与困扰。

魅影出现在十字架旁。

深情的演唱，矛盾的心理，灰暗的服饰、苍白的面具，加上幽暗的十字架。

让人也为他感到无限悲哀。

而当音乐剧的最后，一个女孩来到曲折的地下室，发现魅影那件披风下的面具，拿起端详、定格的时候，忽然间感到时光流转。

这感觉不亚于电影中的蒙太奇镜头。

看到这个场面，我是第一次彻底折服于剧场演出的魅力。

令人无法言表的感动，那是一种令人心醉的美丽。

第一次进上海大剧院看演出，深深的折服于音乐剧的魅力。

只能说，《剧院魅影》带给我的感觉，就是一段传奇，一出悲喜剧，一个关于爱的故事，一种令人心醉的美丽。

歌剧魅影到底是歌剧还是音乐剧?

音乐剧的音乐形式是歌剧化的，它是古典歌剧艺术的现代传承。

是现代音乐戏剧的主流。

音乐剧与歌剧在形式上是相同的，它们之间没有明显的断代。

与其说音乐剧是一个新的艺术形式，倒不如说音乐剧是传承了歌剧艺术而形成的现代歌舞剧。

虽然它具有艺术手法的综合性，但就艺术形式来说它依然独具歌剧的传统。

仔细分析；如果话剧不用道白，舞剧不用舞蹈，那么我们肯定不会称之为话剧和舞剧了，因为道白和舞蹈是它们各自唯一重要的特征。

可是，音乐剧要是没有了道白和舞蹈，它依然是音乐剧，因为他属于歌剧的类型，它传承的是歌剧的特征，它不能没有音乐，不能没有歌唱。

它只是属于戏剧的一个范畴。

从歌剧，轻歌剧，喜歌剧，音乐剧到充满歌剧色彩的音乐剧。

它有非常纯正的血统，从罗西尼、威尔第、普契尼、乔治·格什温、理查德·罗杰斯、伯恩斯坦、韦伯、克劳德-米歇尔·勋伯格。

这些伟大的人物之间要么是同属欧洲体系，要么象乔治·格什温和伯恩斯坦有师徒情份，或者，象普契尼和韦伯不同时代却共同拥有迷人的旋律，这也经常让我错误的以为《当晴朗的一天》和《回忆》是出自同一位作者之手。

正如韦伯所说：他在创作的时候没有觉得音乐剧和歌剧有什么不同；“可能因为我是出生在20世纪，如果出生在18世纪，我可能就写歌剧了”。

音乐剧在牛津简明音乐词典中的注解是这样：MUSICAL 歌舞剧，一种近似轻歌剧[OPERETTA]的戏剧体裁，但通常指美国的从纽约百老汇发展起来的音乐表演。

比起音乐喜剧[MUSICALCOMEDY]显得更为复杂精致而更接近歌剧。

假如我们用德国伟大的歌剧大师瓦格纳对歌剧的论断来看音乐剧；即“歌剧是用音乐展开的戏剧”。

那么，我们也可以这么说“音乐剧是用音乐展开的戏剧”。

他们之间的差异只是音乐风格的不同而已。

我们不能不承认这样一个现实，近一百年来，歌剧越来越被当作“阳春白雪”高搁于艺术殿坛之上，有代表性的创作作品凤毛麟角，真正能欣赏歌剧的观众也是非常少的，因为这类观众必须是建立在有一定的歌剧常识和音乐涵养的基础上，它需要观众具备一定的审美条件，因此，它的观众在很大一部份是我们所谓的“圈内人”。

但同时，在从后工业化时代转变为资讯时代，电影、电视、网络对大众产生了深刻的影响力，它在很大程度上改变了大众的审美需求，人们对娱乐的取向已经变得更加广泛，单就一种艺术形式也需要能得到更多的信息，因此，音乐剧以其时尚、大众、流行等现代特性，逐渐占据了歌剧的市场份额成为现代音乐戏剧的主流。
