大学选课英国文学史和语言学哪个好
这个问题不是一两句话能够说清楚的。
一方面要看你自己的兴趣爱好，另一方面，也得看学校的教学情况。
英国文学史，对英语的要求不小，考虑到长久（如大学毕业后继续研究英国文学），部分学校会要求您有能力读英文原著。
另外，英国文学史与英国历史是相一致的，因此在这方面也需要你有敏感度。
语言学，一门学语言的科学，语言学的工作就是研究：语言结构 语音 构词 句法 语意 言谈篇章语言应用 语用 语言学习及教育 翻译 小学 文字学 声韵学。
在您选择这个专业后，学校会开设一门门小的课程，不同的学校应教师的研究方向的不同，他的侧重点也各有差异，所开的课程也就不是完全一样。
有的重视语言的应用，有的重视对文字的研究。
前者笔者不敢妄言，后者像文字学，需要您有一定的古文能力，会经常查阅《说文解字》《康熙字典》等资料。
像音韵学（有关文字发音的一门学科），需要学习反切之类的内容。
当然，这里所言的，也许有一部分已经超出了大学的范畴，是研究生以及以后才会遇到，但其发展概况基本如此。
就笔者意见，不考虑其他，英国文学史是一个不错的选择。
