只不过电影本身火候尚欠，在剧情发展和人物塑造上并无太多血肉。
电影讲述了一个自称星爵的游手好闲男成功盗走力量无穷的神秘球，却与四个各怀鬼胎的太空怪人打成一团。
在得知超级大坏蛋要抢走小球滥杀无辜后，本来格格不入的五怪决心共同守护正义，保卫宇宙和平，并最终结下深厚友谊。

由此导致的节奏混乱，使观众在目睹各种莫名其妙接连发生后，记忆会突然放空，忘掉故事主线。
纵然如此，观众大多十分大度地将一切忽略。
这首先归功于导演将包括逃狱、赌博、互殴等众多明显充数的桥段拍摄得趣味十足。

由于五个主角各自最终归属未知，即便整部电影结局毫无悬念，观众还是会饶有兴致地看下去，期待他们身上会发生的无数囧事，彼此间能擦出的百种火花。
试想此片若只以星爵为主角，那么如此简单的剧情也难以糊弄观众法眼。
除了剧情凌乱令人诟病，角色的刻画也欠缺力度与深度。
不可否认，银河痞队作为一个整体是独一无二、魅力十足的。
可具体到每个角色，却落入俗套转眼即忘：冷艳绿皮美魔女的存在主要是为了制造小暧昧；脑袋不灵光的复仇男充数必不可少的老鼠屎；聪明过人的转基因浣熊冲着揽小孩儿的钱而来；呆萌无知的树人从一开始就能猜到最后的拯救者身份……虽然主角们在故事中都有所成长，但除了星爵少年丧母的故事被蜻蜓点水般轻轻掀起，其他人的内心解剖却严重缺失，令观众无法与人物建立更深层的情感关系。
最可惜是本片反派将脸谱演绎到极致。
罗南的故事本来值得同情，但其死板单调的形象完全丧失悲情反派的魅力，跟《雷神》中的洛基不可同日而语。
观众轻而易举就站在痞队一边，也因此失去情感挣扎的趣味。
有人说“银河护卫队”正是沿袭了“复仇者联盟”的策略，牺牲对个体角色的强调而全神贯注打造一部团队大片。
但个人认为前者孤立建立在全新概念之上，没有后者的先天“人和”之优势。
电影不吝对角色多做介绍，未看过漫画的观众难免心生突兀之感。
其实，五个主角在漫画中的刻画要比电影中丰富得多，随便一个人就能撑满全场。
如果“银河”在叙事中对角色背景故事稍作穿插，比如介绍下浣熊如何被人工改造成超级生物，树人从何而来又如何长大，傻大个和美魔女的亲人如何被杀诸如此类，情节也许会更加丰富感人。
当然，虽然角色挖掘并不深入，演员选择倒十分成功。
Park & Recreation男星Chris Pratt被公认亲和力强存在感低，但本片中不偏不倚挑起大梁，把插科打诨但情感丰富的痞男诠释恰到好处；WWE超级巨星Dave Bautista一向无演技本色上阵，此次终于找对戏路，扮演凶狠傻大个十分可爱；型男Bradley Cooper终于将声音天赋搬到幕前，为矮小浣熊的倾力配音向世人标榜不靠脸也能演好戏；黑人美女Zoe Saldana不惜颠覆花瓶形象，展示出冷血杀手绿皮下的埋藏的可爱喜感；更牛的是真汉子Vin Disel甘愿一棵树奉陪到底，纵然大材小用，其为同一句旁白制造不同效果的努力也有目共睹。
总体而言，“银河护卫队” 是一部将商业与创新完美结合的新口味爆米花电影。
影片招牌般展现着漫威的视听震撼与感官刺激，携带一如既往的诙谐，并极具探索精神。
对于渴望看到更多非主流喜剧英雄的影迷，还是十分值得期待的。
不过，探新的过程也是学习的过程。
剧情及人物发展的欠缺，笑料做作且风格定位不成熟，若将其与“星球大战”相提并论确实勉强。
但正如先前所言，电影有着巨大提升空间，导演初次执棒科幻动作片也必将走上成长之路。
