【原文 a new dimension of life 19th January I'm sitting in the warm night air with a cold drink in my hand and reflecting on the day — a day of pure magic! I went snorkelling on the reef offshore this morning and it was the most fantastic thing I have ever done. Seeing such extraordinary beauty, I think every cell in my body woke up. It was like discovering a whole new dimension of life. The first thing I became aware of was all the vivid colours surrounding me — purples, reds, oranges, yellows, blues and greens. The corals were fantastic — they were shaped like fans, plates, brains, lace, mushrooms, the branches of trees and the horns of deer. And all kinds of small, neat and elegant fish were swimming in and around the corals. The fish didn't seem to mind me swimming among them. I especially loved the little oranqe and white fish that hid in the waving long thin seaweed. And I also loved the small fish that clean the bodies of larger fish — I even saw them get inside their mouths and clean their teeth! It seemed there was a surprise waitinq for me around every corner as I explored small caves, shelves and narrow passages with my underwater flashlight: the yellow and green parrotfish was hanging upside down, and sucking tiny plants off the coral with its hard bird-like mouth; a yellow-spotted red sea-slug was sliding by a blue sea-star; a large wise-looking turtle was passing so close to me that I could have touched it. There were other creatures that I didn't want to get too close to — an eel with its strong sharp teeth, with only its head showing from a hole, watching for a tasty fish (or my tasty toe!); and the giant clam half buried in some coral waiting for something to swim in between its thick green lips. Then there were two grey reef sharks, each about one and a half metres long, which suddenly appeared from behind some coral.I told myself they weren't dangerous but that didn't stop me from feeling scared to death for a moment! The water was quite shallow but where the reef ended, there was a steep drop to the sandy ocean floor. It marked a boundary and I thought I was very brave when I swam over the edge of the reef and hung there looking down into the depths of the ocean. My heart was beating wildly — I felt very exposed in such deep clear water. What a wonderful, limitless world it was down there! Knowing that Mrs. Mallard was afflicted with a heart trouble, great care was taken to break to her as gently as possible the news of her husband's death It was her sister Josephine who told her, in broken sentences； veiled hints that revealed in half concealing. Her husband's friend Richards was there, too, near her. It was he who had been in the newspaper office when intelligence of the railroad disaster was received, with Brently Mallard's name leading the list of “ killed.” He had only taken the time to assure himself of its truth by a second telegram, and had hastened to forestall any less careful, less tender friend in bearing the sad message. 如何向别人介绍自己的学校

我们招生都是学校领导下来指导，教你些招生基本常识和告诉你些学校的历史文化。
我替学校招过5次生，但看我的“成绩”，现在定下来要来我们学校的就有8人（800元入账~干点什么不好~）我的经验是，不要和别的学校的学生一样（因为招生肯定不只你们一个学校去），他们都是见一个家长发一张招生简介，然后什么也不说....家长只是了了过目...兴许，他（她）孩子正好对你学校感兴趣会去看看。
一定要想方设法的用语言拦下家长，必要的时候可以跳过家长，直接和学生交流~我觉得招生很锻炼一个人的社交能力、应变能力、和语言表达能力，在招生前要练练这几点（如果你想有个好“成绩”的话~）因为你只有短短的几秒钟去和家长介绍你的学校，兴许，他会站下来听你讲完。
（这样的情况，你就更要把握机会，不能太器械化的介绍，在介绍的同时要问问家长有没有什么问题要问的。
）对学校不了解的地方一定要及时问老师，一定不能出现家长问问题，你答不出来的现象...这就是我的经验了...呵呵...祝你有个好“成绩”~
英语表示时间介词的用法
一、用in的场合（1）表示“在某年\\\/月\\\/季节”这个含义时，须用介词in。
例如： in 1980.（2）表示“从现在起一段时间以后”时，须用介词in。
例如：They will go to see you in a week.（3）表示“在某世纪”时，须用介词in.例如:T machine was invented in the eighteenth century.（4）表示“在某年代或特定世纪某年代”时，须用介词in。
例如：T incident happened in the 1970''''s.除此之外，morning \\\/ evening \\\/ afternoon 三个词也常跟介词in连用。
二、用on的场合（1）表示“在具体的某一天”或“（在具体的某一天的）早上、中午、晚上”等，须用介词on。
例如：on May 10th,1982，on a rainy morning， on a summer afternoon.（2）表示“在星期几”或“在星期几的早上、中午、晚上”等，须用介词on。
例如：on weekdays,on Saturday morning.（3）表示“在某一节日”时，须用介词on。
例如：on Mid-autumn Festival,on Teachers''''Day.注意：当morning,evening,afternoon被of短语修饰，习惯上用in,而不用on.例如：in the early morning of September 10th 在9月10的清晨；in the late afternoon of September 12th 在9月12日的傍晚。
三、用at的场合（1）表示“某一具体时刻（即几点几分时）”，须用介词at。
例如：at six （2）用在特定的时候（时节、时机）时，须用介词at。
例如：They were happy at that time.他们那时很幸福。
（3）表示“在中午、在夜晚、在周末”时，须用介词at。

如：by now\\\/then\\\/t time\\\/next Friday\\\/the end of\\\/three o`clock等。
