在阅读过程中我感受到比较深的是行动的意义，就好比说我们平时那些无谓的牢骚和无病呻吟，针对外界所起到的作用——确切的说是完全没有作用的，仅仅可以作为自己的一种情感宣泄，相比那实实在在的身体力行、著书立说的人们，这种情感宣泄是应该感到惭愧的。
因为行动才是证明立场、并将思考的结果付诸于现实的最好方法。
不同的是，当我作为情感宣泄时，我的言论在一定范围内，将不承担任何风险；若将言论付诸行动，那将承受风险。
这也 就是行动者的高尚之处——不畏风险。
至于非暴力的理解，我坦诚地说，阅读《甘地》的初衷是为了了解甘地此人的生平事迹，当我粗略地听闻到他能作到坚持素食与禁欲，我便有了深入了解的强烈欲望，并非对他的非暴力学说有学习的渴求。
然读书至尾声，我对非暴力有了个新的认识：在进行非暴力抵抗运动时，所有参与者都当保持有高度的道德自制与理性头脑。
这也就是说，非暴力抵抗者应当能够理性的区分抵抗的是什么，服从的是什么，对于哪些法律应当在抵抗时加以遵守，对于哪些法律是抵抗的对象，并且进行不服从 的非暴力理性抵抗。
而发动非暴力的抵抗时，也当确保参与抵抗活动的非暴力抵抗者有这样的共识。
而甘地提到“喜玛拉雅山般的错误”（402页）则是对以上问 题的充分阐述。
不可否认，无论劳工还是农民还是罢工工人，他们不可能所有人都全然理解了非暴力的真正含义，但是他们能够在后来的运动中保持克制，将抵抗运动以符合非暴力的形式 进行下去，这正是甘地身体力行的结果，并且他这样做吸引了一批志同道合的朋友，给予非暴力的传播注入新的血液。
书中甘地曾多次阐述宗教的内涵，我认为他达到了一种大同博爱的境界，在圣人中，这一点是共同的。
不排斥别的宗教的存在并且予以尊重，适当时还积极的从中汲 取有益的思想和精神力量，兼收并蓄，这是很伟大的一点。
而存在于甘地心中的神，在他危难与迷茫时给予他帮助及指引的神，即是真理。
现如今在甘地的思想中值得借鉴与思考的还有很多，例如：“我们面临的第一个任务是要消除农民的恐惧心理，要他们明白，官吏们并不是人民的主人，而是人民的 公仆，他们是俸禄来自人民所缴纳的税款”（375页），国人中持有此种观点的农民多乎
